  1. Day 5 and still my hammer is sucked in. Now I'm really getting worked up.....
  2. I have an anemone and was trying to feed it a silver side. My clown grabbed it and took off(nono). I gave it back, my red serpant star comes out from under a rock reached right in and took it:eek:. I wish I had a camera for that one! Call me shocked
  3. Hi Sherri, welcome ! I am newer myself and have gotten great help and advise from many freindly folks here. Beckie
  4. I to have family on the big island. Hilo and south point. I recommend you take a 6 person boat out to Captain Cook. Small group and great views of fish and corals. If you can talk to a local and they can tell you how to hike in if you prefer. Brings back memory's here as well. Beckie
  5. Michael I do have hermit crabs. I haven't seen them by it though.
  6. Thanks Dennis, I forgot about how great yours looked. I have food on had and will try as soon as I seen green. I just hope I do. Beckie
  7. I to am having hammer problems. I got a new frag last weekend and aclimated to the tank. Opened up looked great for 3 days. It has sucked in and stayed that way for the last 3 days. I don't see any kind of slime or sluffing. I have been search older threads some say med light & flow, others say lower light. I use t5's. I have direct feed with Phyto feast, nothing chaging. How long can it stay sucked in before it bites the big one? Amn. 0, Nitrate 0-.5, Nitrite 0, PH 8.2,Cal 425. Any ideas?
  8. **Beckie's Son again :P** My only word of advice to you is scan your data BEFORE you put it back on your machine; if you don't there is a chance that it may become reinfected if the malware originated from a file that you have saved whether it be an application, a nasty piece of software hidden in a picture or music file, or a system file (although you most likely won't be restoring any system files from your file backup). GL and hopefully it all works out for you(fingers)
  9. **This is Beckie's Son** Before you go throught the trouble of reformatting and reloading all of your programs (I HATE doing that (flame)) there might still be hope!! When you are geting "redirected" to other web sites it is usually because your hosts file has been edited to point to a new address when you type an address into your web browser. The hosts file on your computer is a file that is a hidden system file that contains a list of URL's (web addresses, URL stands for Universal Resource Locator) and their corresponding IP addresses. The programs that I use to remove most if not all spyware, adware, and other general "malware" that I run into are: Ad-aware, Spy-bot Search and Destroy (S&D), Windows Defender, and HijackThis. If you don't have computer knowledge or experience DO NOT USE HIJACKTHIS WITHOUT GUIDANCE from someone who knows that they are doing. It is possible to make your computer not operate properly if you remove things you shouldn't. All of these programs are free and all but HijackThis also provide "active" protection. When you do these scans and removals ALL of them should be done in Safe Mode (by pressing F8 on starup BEFORE the windows XP loading screen) because safe mode will load only the basic processes and drivers that are needed to run Windows. Also, these scans all need to be ran on ALL user accounts on the computer in order to remove all instances of the malware. If all of this seems to be a bit overwhelming, I would be happy to take a look at the computer for you sometime as my girlfriend lives over in the Tigard area. (waving) Brian

    Snow!!!!

Oh man Mark ...... Don't say it. Mostly rain with light mix from time to time.
  11. Kris could you post the name of what you used? I have a few small scratches. I have been living with them thinking if I got ugly ones I would deal with them.

    Snow!!!!

What is going on? I am ready for sun. O.K. I would settle for hints of spring. I can't be the only one sick and tired of snow:eek:
  13. Race fan, I to have been married many years.... thats not giving up thats LOVE. No need to take offense I am sure she has words that you would smile at as well
  14. I too would be interested in input about box fish. Being new 1st hand information would be great.
  15. My wonderment never stops...... great link.
  16. My eldery mom with limited ability lives for her dogs. They keep her moving what she can and it is good for the mind. I believe that with the help of others it just might work. I think see if he enjoys the tank, care, learning first. If that gives him enjoyment than he can decide on going further. Beckie
  17. Oh Man Doz, It was so huge. I was scared to cut out a button polyp. Surgery! I will have to keep watching this one.
  18. Mark every thing is great. No issues at all. The xenia is still attached "happy surprise" for me. Mushroom is wide open as is the hammer. I will make sure hub gets photos for you. Winner! Great I guess paying it forward works fast for you. Enjoy the food but that is for you. Thanks again Beckie
  19. Doz and Markdadof2 (clap)(clap)(clap) I posted asking for help with attaching pulsing xenia. Both of them not only offered help, but then frag and attached some for me. Giving me not only frags but shared very helpful advise. Both were very giving. You gave me more than you will know. I hope I will be able to repay your kindness. I may yet get some thing you would like. All seem to be doing well. Please thank your familys Beckie
  20. They are free to a good home. They are easy to care for. I just really want a good home for them. I am hoping that some one here might want them. Hoping if we all know what it takes to keep a reef going than should be able to care for small birds. I had them in my hobbie room but really don't spend much time in there of late.
  21. Way cool! Good job and Great luck to you.(clap)

    Pulsing xinia

I glued the frags I had with "IC-Gel" I was told it worked best. The frags seemed to slowly come loose. Go to work, come home.... gone forever. Is there a better glue? Or is the sand the key here? Beckie

    Pulsing xinia

I have only seen the white "red sea" pulsing. I have the waving hand one. Being a noob I must sound dumb. I had no idea there were other colors.... blue, brown. I can only guess how nuts I could get. Maybe a small tank of just "pulsing"! Funny I think its so wonderful and others call it a weed. Thank you all so much for helping me with a want. Hopefully I can learn what I'm doing wrong.
  24. Sorry for the cost Doz. I "LOVE" the red sea white. I'm sure I'd be crazy about the Bl. Good luck and let me know the out come and put me in line for a frag. Beckie
