One last question. For those of you using the red sea,i have read reviews on this stuff and most people seem to comment on left over residue after mixing do you find this to be true also?

I have these and have been using them for about 6 months now and i agree theese things are great,the only problem i had was that i would get a bit of noise when i used the large inpeller on my 1200.To remedy this i down graded both my pumps to the 900's....then silent!

How do i get my clam to release its foot so i can relocate?

Like i said, i use tropic marin pro and tested my last batch of w/c water and these were my numbers: ca:460 alk:8 dkh mg:1400 With numbers being that close to yours what is the REAL difference???

I have them on my tank it's only 3/8 but there pretty strong

I am currently using TROPIC MARIN PRO REEF and am considering switching to MARINE ENVIRONMENT based on articles that i have read. What salt do you use and are you satisfied with it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

1.I test for calcium,alkalinity,phosphates,ph and magnesium 2.ph and temp allways displayed on my controller, calicum,alk,phos...every week magnesium....every month 3.I use API for cal,alk and sailfert for the rest My perameters are temp 79-80 ph 8.3 cal 460 dkh 8 mg 1400 po4 0

I too had the red bugs for a while,I am under the impression that my spotted mandarin was eating them as i only ever saw them in my refugium never in my display.And this was for several months.Anyhoo i also used flatworm eXit and havent seen any since then.

Do they move? First picture kind of looks like planaria to me.

Do you have the base of the cpvc plugged into some sort of foot or stand of some sort? Again awsome idea!

Just wondering if anybody knows if there is some correlation between fast moveing water and algae growth?(scratch)The reason i ask is there is allways alot of algae growth on my power heads but not really anywhere else.
