  5. What's up man? "Any starting tips??" Don't get started. As you know I'm also coming over from FW. This hobby is EXPENSIVE but well worth it. If you stick around you will be converted. It's just a matter of time. I've been a member here since 08 and just now really getting the itch. Watch out. Later, T
  6. Thanks for the kind words guys. I may be able to deliver to the Valley/Portland for a small fee of 25.00? PM me whatcha got.
  7. I sent Rick this 8/17 "I would be interested in 300 lbs. IF somehow we could get it down south (Eugene, Albany). I live in Redmond but head over to Eugene often. Anyone from that area in on the group buy that I could hit up. I would help out with gas just don't want to head all the way to Portland. Let me know. Thanks" I'm still interested if I can get it down south. Anyone from Eugene or passing thru grabbing any? PM me and we could work something out. Thanks
  8. Just like the title says. 28 gallon JBJ cube w/ HQI light. Tank, stand, two powerheads, Nano skimmer, duel pulse wave maker and a AC110. Light was just replaced. I took out the back chamber (so you can make a refugium). Also cut bottom of back panel for flow. Resealed panel and top lid (Piece the light sits on). tested no leaks. Place LR in back of panel and Cheato in the AC110 and you have the perfect system. Asking 225.00 OBO
  9. Here is a good article on them. http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/june2004/invert.htm

  13. I headed over Wednesday morning (from Redmond) just to check out Garrett"s shop and grab a few things, here is what I came back with. I'm not the best picture taker so bare with me. I'm also new to SW so Garrett was very helpful and patient with explaining things to me. Very happy with everything and well worth the drive.
  14. Sold, please close. Thanks
  15. Thanks, I have way too many tanks. Somethings goto go. Randy-S, whatcha got? I'm leaving about 7:30ish am. So I'll check this post right before I take off. Thanks
  16. 6 gal. Fluval Edge. Was used for a Planted tank. Cleaned and ready for ? I will be in Salem tomorrow if anyone wants to meet up. Asking 75.00.
  17. Ok, you guys talked me into it (that was easy). I took out all my decoration and have it for sale on CL and a FW site. Once the fish have sold. I will start to convert it to SW. I pretty much have all the equipment besides Skimmer and Light. The light will be my first purchase. What light would you guys recommend for that height? Garrett, I promise you will be seeing me soon. I will need LR and lots of it.
  18. I have a 210 (72x24x29) FW setup that I would like to change over to a SW. What would be the pros and cons (besides cost)? Is the height a problem? Or do I just stay content with my little 40b. or try to find a 180?
  19. Hey Rick, In the first picture (last post with picture) you will notice their is nothing in the tank. Then in the last picture you will notice the overflow box with two Powerhead outlets, that is what needs siliconed back in. Then also the rim that the hood rests on. I can get better pictures if needed. If you were going to drill the tank for a sump. I wouldn't worry about putting it back in. Just drill the back and paint, your done. Here is customer service to ask them about it being tempered 310-672-4099 PST.
  20. Nick, PM sent first is a pictures of it disassembled. The rest the pictures are of it put back together but not siliconed in. Goes back together easily. Just needs silicone. Glass is good, needs cleaned. I upgraded to a 40b so this has to go to fund a skimmer or frags.
  21. Just like the title says. 28 gallon JBJ cube w/ HQI light. Tank, stand and two powerheads only. Light was just replaced. At the moment the back (filtration box) is out, It was leaking (came loose from the back glass) and I took off the rim to reseal it at the same time. Asking 150.00 just the way it sits. Possible trades for a skimmer or ? I live in Redmond so local PU preferred but may deliver to the valley (Eugene to Salem). I will get a picture of it disassembled if you want. Thanks
  22. Anyone want to go in with me on this. We each pay 200.00 You get Tank, stand, hood, sump and closed loop pump. I get every thing else (I'm setting up a 40B tank). I would pick up today and be able to deliver tank next week to Eugene-Salem area. for 25.00 (gas money). Pm if interested.
