  1. That looks sweet Rick. Now I'm embarrassed to show my DIY 120 stand. Nice work man.
  2. Do you think the previous owner made his own GFI circuit? Ocean Light T5 MH combo - Tips and Tricks Always use a GFI when installing your lighting system Use timers to create a consistent light cycle. For easy HQI bulb installation, use a touch of white lithium grease on the bulb end-blades. If your fixture includes daylight and 20K bulbs, use a separate timer for each color to simulate a dawn and dusk effect by having the 20Ks come on first and turn off last. Installation inside canopies is not recommended and, without exceptional air circulation and ventilation, will shorten the life of internal components including the bulbs. If you are upgrading to a more powerful lighting system, start the fixture higher above the tank and lower it gradually to within 6" - 12" from the water surface.
  3. Is that a normal thing? Why isn't it internal with the rest of the plug? Just asking because I got this used but was supose to be a like new never used setup. The topper is the fixture had a little damage to the end. I have sent the seller a email.(flame)
  4. Just received this with my Aqua Medic light. Is this some cheap Ebay Ballast or an old version by Aqua Medic. Also whats up with the wire coming from the Lamp screw. Thanks
  5. Welcome aboard. Were you also on MFK?
  6. Cool, Thanks guys. Lights should be here Tuesday.
  7. WOW, man those corals look awesome. Nice job.
  8. I have a Aqua Medic Ocean Light 48" 2x250 HQI 2x54 T5 fixture that is going over a 120 gallon tank. I just ordered (2) Phenix 14k and (2) ATI True Actinic 03 T5 HO. Is this going to be too Blue/Purple? Or should I run two different T5's? Here is the website I ordered off. Thanks in advance. http://www.soslightbulbs.com/ATI-T-Bulbs.aspx

    20L Sump

LOL, It's the force of the water going over the baffle causes it to spin. This way it gets light from all sides. Macro seems to love it.

    20L Sump

Here is what mine looks like and seems to work well (video). Mine is also a 20L feeding a 40B. Hope this helps. http://s355.photobucket.com/albums/r479/TRENT_G_album/?action=view&current=MOV02318.mp4
  12. Thanks Rick for the info. I will keep him for a while in the nano alone. He just doesn't fit into the direction I want to go with the Reef tank. I have a friend that has a aggressive fish only tank. I'll see if he's interested.
  13. He was placed in the (fresh no salt) RO/DI water for about 30 seconds before being placed in the Nano. Garrett, thats kinda funny. Your always trying to sneak in freebies. This guy will not come out unless their is food? Do you think a Spider Decorator Crab would be ok with him?
  14. I have had this rock for a few weeks now (16.5 lbs). It traveled from salem to Redmond out of water. Placed in a holding tank for a week, then taken out to burn some pests off the rock, placed in RO/DI water and finally into a freshly setup Nano tank (not cycled yet). Last night my son goes down to get a glass of water and finds a Snowflake Ell swimming around. We feed him, obviously very hungry. This morning I look for the little guy and nothing. So I grab some more food and sure enough he comes out. Crazy how hardy this guy is. Just thought I would share my find. He's not staying. We'll fatten him up then find him a good home.

  19. TTT.... Any offers???? I can add a Coralife 48" 4x65 and a Mega flow 4 sump to sweeten the deal.
  20. Thanks guys for the compliments. Equipment used: T5's, 20g sump with no skimmer. Weekly water changes. Not a very high tech setup but it's working out so far. Can't remember what the guy at the LFS called them. Maybe one of the more experienced people will Know. Sorry
  21. Some day I'm going to grow into a larger tank. Tank has been setup for about 4-5 months. Very unorganized (nutty).

  23. Thanks again Garrett, another trip well worth the drive (260 miles round trip). You guys on the I-5 corridor have no excuses. (nono)
  24. I wish I could lie and say yes but it's a different one (Coralife 48" 4x65) but you could have it for free if you buy the tank.(laugh). Garrett you need this. P.S. Thanks for all the goodies today. You could fill this with no problem.
