Thank you for your input. I am not going to look like a "savior" with this, and my opinion is just that an opinion. I know nothing, I just thought that the club might like to have this put together. I have been told many things from several people, I guess that I will wait and see what others have to say in the weeks ahead. Thank you again for being on the ball. Kevin

Hi Joel, Thank you for your input and idea, this is a great idea. I would like to form a committee to restructure Tanks for Teachers, because I really don't think that the best effort was put forth to organize it to meet its full potential. This is not a personal attack on anyone; it is a fact that it is very difficult to build something from the ground up if the key components are not in place first. I have asked to see any and all documentation, outlines, written proposals and such, and I have gotten nothing. I have found that it really depends on who I speak with, as I have gotten very mixed messages and I am at the point where I can’t believe anything other then there are tanks floating around. If we are to really get this off of the ground, several thing need to be done first. Form a committee w/ paid members / teachers, appointed members Write a TFT Plan Create Documents i.e.: Course Outline Teachers Handbook Application Information Packet This can be done, just not in the way that it was started. It is the belief of many that good planning and organization is needed before we ever leave the starting gate. The key is all in the planning, and even then some of the best plans need a tweak here and there. If you would like my help I would be more then willing to work with you and all that are interested. I will say, I have someone that has stepped up with equipment, supplies and support. However, I have been told that they will be no part of it until these conditions are met, because there will be names associated in this venture and continued poor planning can tarnish their name. There is also funding in the form of grant that can be used to fund this program. It is really like going to a bank for a loan. If there is no plan, no organization, then clearly there is no money. Share Your Photos For Our Coral Farmers Market DVD I am leaving on vacation this evening, am will be taking along my laptop computer. I would like more photographs to use for the DVD in our PNWMAS booth at the Coral Framers Market. This is your chance for everyone to put their pictures up for display. This DVD is not for sale; it is only for the promotion of what can be done in this hobby. I have had 7 people contact me to share their photos, don't let these 7 people be the olny one's to submit. You have already done the easy part, let me do the rest of it for us. Some have shared their photo Bucket account with me, and I have selected the photos, this makes it even eaiser. “THE ROLLING REEF” Most school buses have a capacity of 71-77 passengers; while larger cities in the metro area have 88 pass transit flat nose busses. My license is for 88 pass which is the max, so school buses, old Greyhound or Trail ways bus will also work; these are great because of storage bays below the seating deck. CAN YOU SAY ROLLING FRAG SHOW….LOL? I think that we could make it work; we just would need to locate one and get donations through selling ad space on the sides from manufactures, sponsors and fund raising from our club. The law does not require original bench seating to remain in place. We could even make a reef lounge in part of it with U shaped seating with a”mini reef bar”. I think that is would be a great way to plaster our sponsor’s names all over it after is repainted and then it turns into a rolling billboard for both club and sponsors. I did mention to John some months back that I do have a CDL w/ Passenger endorsement; and that I thought that a bus is a great idea for our club. I know that local school districts sell surplus buses for around $700.00 that is being put out of service. This is a way to promote our club and all of our sponsors; and allow us to attend other functions with other clubs or events as a whole club together. I don't know that School Bus should be replaced with "Reefers"-"Reef Keeper's"....LOL. And John, that roof rack seating is not an approved DOT as per regulations....LOL, hands and feet insde the ride at all time, but feel free to stumble about freely as you ride the "reef"...LOL. I would entertain this idea for many reasons, as a rolling reef would look rock-N. Kevin

I am sure that we would all love to be able to attend the picnic. As we all know with gas prices being what it is, sometimes even ride share becomes cost prohibitive. This is one of the reasons that I believe we should stagger locations of events and activities that "our" club offers. I am not standing on a soap box to rant, I just believe that we can find ways to unite our club rather then divide it. This is why it is so important to know how many people live in what areas so that all of our club activities are not continually condensed into one area. I like the idea of ride share, and I also like the fact that I-5 travels both north and south for a reason. As an Officer it is my duty to attend all club functions. It is also my duty to serve all members when it comes to club functions, and this is something that will be looked at when new club functions that were not previously established are planned. Hi! I have seen lots of posts regarding the BBQ and the officers/board members are looking forward to meeting with everyone for a day of fun. We wanted to see if we could get an approximate head count, so here is a poll.
