I got lucky with these ones Scott.
The female came from Jim Cornova, and the male I got from a dude named Shaun. Actually I got a pair from him but I separated them because the female I got from Jim looked better.
Notice the 2 smaller ones in the middle? That's the one I got from you. It split, and they're on the same rock still!

Forgot to add a fish list.
Powder blue tang
Pair of B/W Ocellaris
Pair of regular Ocellaris(barleycuda's)
Diamond goby.
Mandarin Dragonette
Pair of Bangaii Cardinals
Potters Angel
4 Lyretail Anthais(still in hiding)
For now that's it until I get my hands on a Juv. Emperator Angel, and some nice fairy wrasses.

Now that's eye candy ';-) Love your choice of fish and love your 'scaping...drooling.
Thanks!
Stay tuned for some new scaping. I have about 20lbs of rock to fill in the right side.

Looks great Chewie!! I like the spread on that lumenarc. Looks like it covers pretty well. Im gonna buy two of the fulll size ones for my 60"x34"24".
Seems like you like the Keep It Simple Stupid method like me. Big skimmer and flow
LAIII's will cover that footprint nicely!
Yes I like it simple. Although with this tank it will require a little more maintenance to keep the sand clean, but it looks much better. I didn't plan on using sand, but it's easier to hide the bulkheads with the sand.

System Details:
90g 3x2x2 1/2" acrylic.
30g sump(20g running)
Eheim 1262 return pump/skimmer feed.
Closed loop is a dolphin 3000 knockoff. Drilled through the bottom of the tank. 2 1.5 B/H feed the pump, and 2 1" returns. There are 6 locline outputs in the tank hidden in the rockwork.
Lighting is a single 400w 20k. In a Lumenarc mini reflector. Right now the bulb is the 20k that Sam @ SLS sent me to test. It is very comparable to the XM20k. Ny XM is almost out of life so I didn't bother switching out bulbs for pic comparison.
I'm still not done with the aquascape. I need to boil some more dead rock, and get creative with a few ledges/overhangs on the right side.
Hope you like!

And the heart of the system.
It's a Euro-Reef ES8-5, which I cut down and modified to be a RC250. Mine is 2" shorter than the RC so I just call it a RC225(laugh)
Eheim 1262 with ER pinwheel and it's feed water is directly fed off my return.
This pic was taken 24hrs after firing it up. This thing skims like a champ.

I have a well established tank (almost two years) and I am trying to add a clam' date=' it is my first one.[/quote']
This is the only clam that you have ever put in your tank?
Every time I bring one home I drip aclimate it for around an hour 15 or so.This tells me that it isn't
Salt and PH are great. Alk/calcium/iodine are good. What is good? Are you testing for Iodine?
I have not taken him out of the water, i heard that is really badDoes not make a difference. I have had MANY clams out of water for extended periods of time without issues. Just make sure to roll them around abit under water to "burp" them.
I dont want to Kill a nother clam!!You sure that this is your first clam?
My magnesium is good, I test and dose it weekly, not sure of the exact mag number
You have a test for Mg, but have SWF test everything else?
I added salt before i put the clam in.How? And what brand of salt? Did it get you in the 1.025 range?
-
Well, If it opens up at the store(SWF) then there has to be something not right with your tank.
It has nothing to do with your halides, nor placement(unless it's getting blasted with flow).
Take your water into Patrick, Have him test it with a refractometer. Get your salinity up to 35ppt. Have him test Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate.
Do you use SWF premixed SW, and or FW? If not, it may be a good time to start.

Which store?
-
Do you have any inverts in this system? If so how long have they been established?
-
Got any left Joel? I should give it a shot. What do you think of it?

Served with a light aiptasia sauce!
LOL I remember that.
-
Super glue gel covering them also can work if they are small. Just be sure to smother the suckers.
dsoz
DUH! I can't believe I forgot about that little trick.
I got a teeny Aiptasia on the very bottom of a rock pile I need to smother.
Thanks for reminding me dsoz!

Falcula Butterfly.
It may munch down on your polyps though.
Are the Majano's isolated? If so, I would boil the rock, scrub it, and let dry out in the sun for a day or 2.
If not, there are a bunch of different methods to get rid of them, but it's going to be a long haul.
Kalk paste, Joes Juice, lemon juice also have been known to work well.

It's not too bad, those tanks are pretty stout.
-
Slick!
You gotta love simplicity!
-
you betcha!

The glass is like 5/16" or 3/8" so not too thin.

Weld-on # 16.
I did the same with 2 DIY overflows and it has served me well. 1 of them has been running 5+years without a hitch.

Whoa!
Whatever it is, it definitely has a cool looking egg strand. Possibly Sea hare?
-
Snapper!
But, it would be alot easier if you didn't have sand. In my cube I had 1 6025 pointed in the back corner and another 6025 blasting off the front pane. It worked pretty well.

Usually they stay in the anemone. They frequent all 3.
The Rose split on it own. Honest(whistle)
