  1. I would highly recommend the use of biopellets. I have been running them on every system I own with no ill effects for over 2 years now. I can attest to the pellets stripping the water quickly but not so fast that there was harm to either the fish or corals. One thing many newer reactors have implemented is a 3 way valve or recirculation method allowing for total control over the amount of water being processed. This allows for as little or as much water to be discharged from the unit without worrying about over stripping the system. Take a look at Jeff Macare's you tube video explaining how this process works. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2

  7. Galaxy ballasts offer a 99.9% power efficiency so I would personally upgrade. Most LFS can get these ballasts for you. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
  8. Like Mitchell said every situation is different and it's ultimately up to you as to how you want the tank to look and what you will be growing. That being said I would not run most MH over 12" off the water surface. Too much par is lost any higher so you end up with a well lit tank that won't grow coral very well. 9. Hi everyone, I'm relocating and will be needing to sell my dream tank to save on storage costs. It's a 10'x3'x2' acrylic tank in very nice shape. It's been cleaned up in prep for the setup I was going to do. Take a look at the picture then let me know if your interested. I'm asking $2500 for it. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2

  11. If it doesn't work out I'd be interested in a trade. I have a semi new 90 that I was trying to trade for my old 150. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  12. It sounds like the normal adjustment corals seem to have during the first month of switching to LED's. I'm running almost the exact same setup as you and have great success keeping many sps. Any lackluster coral growth is my fault due to poor chemistry BUT everything is still alive with great polyp extension. I run my radion from 10-10 at 100% with a 1hr ramp up and down. The blue, royal blue and white are all at 100% with red at 15% and green at 40% (I could have those backwards). The color temp produced is almost identical to a 20k radium that I witnessed first hand at Vivid. Hope this helps. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
  13. Mak Grills ave very nice! The 2 star general will be next upgrade (unless something better comes out) due to the controller they utilize and the higher temperatures the Mak grills can produce. Plus they are manufacturing locally providing Americans with stable income!
  14. Picked up the Jr back in March and recently added the digital upgrade, 4 fire bricks to help stabilize the temperature and a hopper mod to keep the pellets from sticking on the flat spots. After all the mods I literary cook 2/3 my bbq meals on this lil guy. And with the added benefit of convection the pellet bbq's seem to cook much faster than my gas or charcoal. I have cooked a few steaks on the JR but I did have to turn it to high and let the temperature stabilize before cooking them. I still prefer my Char-Broil for burgers and steaks.
