Interesting. I haven't had that experience when flying out of LA on Jet Blue or Alaska but I do know most airlines have strict requirements for packaging of live goods and luquids. For instance coral and fish need to be packed in a styro inside of a cardboard box labeled live goods perishable. Kessil uses a dense LED matrix under a single optics so there is no disco effect. For those interested in checking out the Kessil lights they should start arriving in local stores within the next 2 weeks. Defiantly a great LED to check out for an inexpensive yet powerful solution. For anyone looking to see actual growth for either light there are some really awesome videos on YouTube. I've seen both running over 29g biocubes and but performed very well. I'm currently running a a150 ocean blue over my 5g cube with tremendous results. One other very important factor to keep in mind about Kessil lights is the addition of UVA (True Uv) LEDs in all of their fixtures. I don't know of the legality's but many of my stores in California are using NSW in their systems. The only problem many of them run into is algae blooms and the constant need to supplement.
