  3. I think it's great idea to help start them off with some life. Sasy, cheep, and moving(clap)

  5. And is the Mandarin eating other than pods??? Also is the wrasse eating other than pods?? .
  6. 30 in West Salem. Ice on the groung. Not much. Sky is white but no snow. The weather guy is in kahoots with Les Schwab chain sales!!!!!!!
  7. (clap)Beautiful, just beautiful.(clap) Have you started the grandkids collage funds yet(scary)
  8. Just toss the 29 under a bigger tank(like 180) and go bigger now. It will save you money. Test kits.... same price for either.....skimmer. Just a little more ,but you don't have to upgrade and have paid for 2. Return pump. External as your going to have the 29 drilled and glue baffles in yourself. Live rock has gotten really inexpensive. Far less tank parameter changes on a larger tank. I'm just trying to save you money over all if you have the room. Practically everyone that has had a smaller tank and has had the room goes bigger in less than a year. And of course WELCOME NEW "TOAD"
  9. Easy everyone............ He'll be in the Woods for a while.
  10. It's 14 here this AM(scary)
  11. The critter in the first picture is called a Chiton and it is totally reef safe. I have a bunch of them. http://library.thinkquest.org/J001418/chiton.html
  12. Now I know what I want for christmas!!!!!!!!!!
  13. A U shaped copper pipe in the tank with a butane torch putting heat through it to heat the tank. Eating chilly peppers and breathing into an air stone. 10,000 heat packs rapped around it. Mirrors reflecting sunlight on it. heating jugs of water outside in a black lined, clear plastic top crate. (solar baby)

    This Nudibranch?

Do a fresh water dip. ro/di preferably. Have the temp the same as tank. Buffer to same tank PH. Put a couple of zoo's in the water for a few minute . then swish each clump. You will see them at the bottom. Inspect for eggs. If you have some Lugols put couple of drops in the water. I do suggest using gloves.

  18. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-11/rhf/index.php Dinoflagellates
  19. Don't bother with the fish. Just let the tank cycle with the live-rock for several weeks. Once there is no detectable ammonium or nitrite then you can start thinking about adding some additional livestock. Skimmer, or no skimmer, it does not matter at this point. If you have not read this article, you should. Scroll down to Myth 15, but the rest of it is good too. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-01/eb/index.php dsos __________________
