Been kinda slacking on the tank due to work but stuff is starting to show up in the mail to motivate me I also got all of my sand, heater, and tunze magnet for my ATO floats. I am waiting on another EB8 and all of the probes for the Apex, the guy shipped them in a separate box in case they came open.

I bought a few from this same guy when we tried to keep the pond that came with our house, he had great deals and was really nice. Did you see his ponds in front of his house?

Yeah it would be way to big for that tank, I think it might be bigger than the tank itself. I will probably have a Tunze 9002 up for sale soon since it looks like I will have to part out my biocube once I get the new tank going. I'm not sure if those fit your tank but they are awesome skimmers.

I am also open to trades!

There are 2 drains and one return. One drain is set up as a durso and the emergency is a straight pipe.

Made a little progress last night and this morning. I'm painting the light racks white and have added 2 channels through the wall behind the tank into our master closet. I'm going to mount all of the Apex components in there to save room in the stand and keep them dry. I tried to get my wife to just let me turn the closet into a fish room but she wasn't having it I mounted a piece of plywood to mount everything to, should work out well. I also hung the light just to see coverage and I'm very impressed with the ATI Led, perfect spread for this tank and nice color.

Yeah you're probably right, I was just being lazy. On an exciting side note, I found a used Apex Gold with dosers and BO box for super cheap! My is gonna shoot me!

What do you all think of the thin foam pads they give you with tanks that come as kits, do I have to use it? It's the one that goes between the tank and the stand, It's a [language filter] to get aligned and seems kinda useless.

Yeah they are. When you factor in the skimmer, but after they aren't on sale they probably won't be. I found my first issue too, they sent me the wrong skimmer. They sent me there HOB which is actually rated for more volume but won't work with a sump.

It arrived in one piece! I'm very impressed with the quality of the tank and stand as well as the packing job! Some pics:

I will build a screen top. I'm going to order the clips that IM uses and modify them to hold the screen tight. That's the plan anyway, we will see. The nice thing is that I have all the time I need to get it right.

IT's supposed to be even across the spread of the light. For the x2 it's 24"x28" but that's with a max of 36" deep. My tank is only 20" deep, should be more than plenty for my needs.

I am buying the Sirius used and the current owner says with their technology, there is no disco effect at all. That's part of the reason why I went with a Kessil, I like the shimmer of halides and hate the disco effect.

I love the ATI T5 fixtures, great lights. I think I am going with one of their Sirius x2 LED's for this tank. I have heard amazing things about ATI's led's and have wanted to try them for a long time.

Yep everything except the light. I'm looking at an ATI led for the tank.

I'm excited. I have always bought used and gotten great deals, I hope this one will be good quality. I talked to Cadlights today and found out that they are out of the black stand until next month, I'm not patient so I decided to go with the white. I will do a write up here about my experience, I know Cadlights has suffered in the past from quality control but they seem to be better now, I'm hoping!

Thanks man! Nano's aren't bad at all, just have to keep up on water changes weekly but they are smaller changes so it's easier.
