  1. Bonsai? Pretty interchangeable. I see it sold under both names.
  2. Pictured on the left is a 1 1/2 inch frag and on the right a small colony. Mother colony also pictured. Pictures under full spectrum and blue. Coral is deep purple and polyps are neon green. $30 for the frag and $50 for the small colony. Porch pickup in Tualatin, unless we arrange something else. Cash or PayPal (you pay any fees). Colony is SOLD. Frag PENDING.
  3. Wrote the Flipper folks. Very responsive and helpful! Thinking maybe the small white balls on the inside piece are the culprit. Great Service!
  4. Good point. Thinking the same thing, I had been putting some napkins under the felt but it still made the same noise.
  5. Been using Flipper Max on my 450 for the past four plus years. over the course of the last year it has started making a scraping noise when I clean the glass(see video). Doesn't appear to scratch anything. I replaced the stainless steel blade, but it still makes the noise. Any suggestions or other people having same problem? Can the blade be lubricated to reduce friction?Flipper Max Noise
  6. Trying to ID green polys on the left. Came from a small piece of ocean live rock.
  7. I use the first 5 stages for drinking water, so I can't shut off.
  8. Approx 2.5 - 3 inch across and cup shaped. Placement was lower in tank so will probably be brighter purple higher. Porch pickup in Tualatin. $25! Paypal if you pay any additional fees.
  9. When my system is idle and not refilling a tank, the RODI system has started making a hissing noise frequently (every minute or so). The RODI pressure valve starts at 40psi when idle and slowly builds up to 50ish. Then there is a pressure release (I think from the auto-flush valve) and the psi drops back to 40ish - only to repeat. Is this normal? Before adding the auto-flush valve it would hold steady when idle.
  10. Last question. Can I still leave Fallback ON at the top? And, that won't impact the Power statement?
  11. Regarding the syntax - If Power Apex Off 001 Then OFF. I read it as "If Power APEX OFF for 1 minute than turn off", which isn't correct. You're saying if the power to the APEX is off, then turn ON after 1 minute. Correct? Why does it end with "then OFF"?
  12. Sounds good thanks. Had a minor catastrphoe today. Installed a replacement gyre. The outlets were adjusted to spray water straight up in the air, out of the tank. Wasn't good when water started hiting my UPS and outlet. Interesting the UPS and surge protected power cord didn't trip, but instead the wall GFI. Eitherway, that saved things.
  13. More worried about the powering back up. When I plug the controller in, there is an intial sound - like things are turning on - then goes quiet for several seconds. Then, everthing powers up. I' m using two EB832's with a lot of equipment powered.
  14. Is there a proper way to shut down an APEX, rather than simply unplugging it. I'm always worried when I re-plug-in the controller because it draws a lot of power. It seems like a lot of juice when plugging in. Should I first turn devices off in the control panel, before unplugging? Is there a "shutoff" option in the interface? Shawn
  15. Good point on sand. I think Randy at BRS has since added sand to his new system, as are others. Most complain of continued instability and long term troublesome algae.
  16. For sale is this Purple Rim monti frag. Pictured in the frag and mother colony. Porch pickup in Tualatin. $30. PayPal (you pay any fees).
  17. At the end of the day I wonder why folks can post positive or negative reviews on Amazon, but folks can't share negative reviews about vendors or sellers in a constructive discussion on forums.
  18. Why does Reef2Reef.com censor critical feedback about vendors? A forum member posted very appropriate critical feedback about a vendor. In the same thread, two more members expressed similar concerns. All discussion was professional and appropriate. The forum moderator then posted a message stating the thread was in the incorrect forum and must be moved. They also said only posts between the customer and vendor are allowed. The moderator moved the thread and deleted the additional comments from other members. Why is it that members can post positive comments all day long, but when members begin a critical discussion about a vendor, the thread gets moved and postings deleted? Be careful when relying on discussion groups in order to make informed decisions about vendors. Does this forum do the same thing? I can understand freezing, or removing, inappropriate content, but simply removing content because it's critical is wrong.
