  1. reefboy, what store are you from??? some of those are very sweet. Some things dont require good camera skills.
  2. Whats that have to do with steelhead on a fly Bobby??? You got some messed up priorities (laugh)
  3. a little better...thats all the photoshop skills i have
  4. Oh..and one more thing......most likely you dont want him. If you see him go into a rock and can remove the rock do so........give it a freshwater swish until he comes out. When they get big like that they will eat snails and or corals. When i finally found that guy i finally found the answer to why my clean up crew kept ending up nothing more than empty shells SWEET greens there in the background
  5. Looks like a flatworm possibly of some kind...although i havent ever seen one exactly like that I found this guy a while back 4" x 2" across..he is more standard flatworm shaped but many flatworms are crazy shaped and often mistaken for nudis
  6. I just sent you a email with my address....i can post the pics for you too. You should either follow the link in my sig and sign up for a free accouont at photobucket to help you resize your images OR if you use Outlook express, i know you can simply mail them to yourself clicking the "make my pictures smaller" box and that will shrink them as well. There are a lot of other ways but those are two pretty easy ones.....
  7. SWEET. Glad to hear you had the same great experience when receiving the stuff. I was happier with their stuff more than any other sps shipment i have received I have some ricordias and zoos from Sharkys coming for my lps tank in the morning...... :D
  8. Yeah, when i said i might would help them open it.......i just meant i would spend the first hundred dollars in the first minute it was open..........i wasnt going to invest any real money or anything(laugh)
  9. NICE. Ive had two decent sized orders from them and they exceeded my expectations by far both times. ENJOY!!! Pics of EVERY one need posted (drooler)
  10. OFF TOPIC here kinda unless you consider after reading this thread i was just daydreaming(at night) about looking at a bunch of zoos that i dont have............. I sure wish there was a reef store in Bend. I surely would support a good store here if someone good at this would just open one. Hell, i might even help them open it.............
  11. lol they are just super low profile bulkheads..........
  12. If you have flatworms eating your corals then i tend to disagree about them NOT being the aefw's. And if indeed they are......flatworm exit is inneffective against them. Pull out one of the most affected corals while it is still partially alive and take a powerhead and blow every nook and cranny in it in a SEPERATE container...a dark container will help see them...then inspect the coral itslef for eggs...the eggs ARE visible in little clumps usually on the edges of where the coral is dead and alive........ When i found them it was immediately after killing my red bugs(which i origianlly THOUGHT were what was killing my corals) and i coincidentally had quite a few of the normal red flatworms as well. I dont know what happens in the Interceptor treatments that allow the aefw's to be able to instantly be more damgaing.......but thats what happened to me.....the interceptor treatments are killing a lot more than just pods(which is what red bugs ARE) read this..or at least as much of it as you can handle http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/printthread.php?threadid=688833&perpage=533 they are the spawn of satan...i lost more than a few hudred dollars worth of corals but i DID finally beat them by removing all stonies from the tank and treating with levamisole and lugols without throwing all of my corals away unlike what some people have resorted to to get rid of them........(i did lose about ten more in the process but i saved about 30 others) i no longer add any stonies to my systems without a 6 week quarantine first........it sucks but6 thats the only way to be sure i think a lot more people have them than are aware and that many times people blow off STN as the cause of death ti is in fact a symptom of aefw's...... Those are GREAT pics impur...great pics of a bad thing
  13. I think my ASM with the sedra 9000 is pretty quiet........
  14. I think i already answered you on TRT(or maybe someone else with the EXACT same question) as far as my opinion on that goes...... I would consider the 8 way actually if you are going to run spraybars and want the best flow you can get.......otherwise the spraybars will take up 1/2 of your intended random flow.......I just built a 225 system with the 8 way and after doing so im sending paul back the 4 way i already bought to upgrade to the 8 way for my 90. unless you can find one out htere for SIGNIFIGANTLY less like nu 2reefin...buy it from Paul at OM.. they rock
  15. here you go http://www.hobbyoutletsales.com/salifert.html as well.....the best prices around
  16. Buttonpatch and sweet blue....i wish these pictures would post bigger..... ??? Thanks drock59...i read where you said how to enlarge it : )
  17. Buy it from Paul at Oceans Motions. Their customer service is out of this world. And he will unconditionally take car eof any problems with it now or down the road.(he would do that as well on a used one you purchased) You pay upfront but he will support and work with you no matter waht and most likely you will want to tweak the drums to get it how you want it. If you want..let me know what you are thining exactly and i could give you some advice on which drum to have him cut you for the original.....it will save you $20 or more down the road on a new custom one. (i actually had him cut me 3 different drums until i got it how i wanted it) I one time sent him an email at 3 am pst and he called me back in 5 minutes to make sure he understood what i wanted done....... thats only one example of many times they have exceeded my expectations. I am starting to build my 90 bb sps tank now and i originally planned on the 4 way for it, but i like to run spray bars too and i dont want half of my flow going to those spraybars so i am actually sending the 4 way back and getting another 8-way. Yeah...the plumbing parts isnt cheap......but what you get for it you wont regret i assure you. I did go somewhat economy, (if there is such a thing) on my plumbing as i went all schedule 40 valves, unions and fittings. here my original 8 way plumbing
  18. I posted this on TRT too but thought the people who dont go there might like to see this....... This is the flow created in my tank using an Oceans Motions 8 way controller. When i turn off my return pump it barely exposes the tops of the cls returns grabbing air allowing the flow to be visible...... its actually more randon than it looks even...i adjusted the omni flex nozzles up to make sure they create air bubbles for the video......... If you cant tell I am a BIG fan of these OM units...anyone building a new system or upgrading an old one should consider them...... check it out HERE
  19. So is it too late to get in on this????? Just let me know the address to paypal..... thanks
  20. LOL I only test CA an alk about once a month so i just toss it.....BUT when i used to test it a couple of times a week I DID reuse the reagent and never noticed any negative impact from doing so.
