  1. I have babies of of both of my knockout pinks available One is solid hot pink and the other is hot pink with a grey/blue skirt. Looking for true rainbows or anything that is a cut above the norm in trade. Not interested in anything but yumas to trade for these guys The baby off of my solid one is pretty small. It grows slow as heck...it has taken me two years just to get this one off of it. Just looking for two out of the ordinary new ones and can work out any signifigant size differences with sps or polyps....
  2. anything anyone has laying around let me know. I might want it no matter how big but I dont want anything smaller than 50 gallons. Looking for several for several different purposes so just because it may be scratched up doesnt necessarily mean I dont want it I could possibly be interested in glass tanks IF they are either shallow or huge, one or the other.
  3. arent the classifieds here supposed to be for aquacultured corals that we hobbyists grow, and not something you buy in bulk and chop up for profit? You could at least be a littel creative in yur post, instead of outright admitting to being a chop shop Either way, $50 a head for duncans no matter how "nice" they are is um.......well to put it simply is certainly not your friendly hobbyist price. Most hobbyists sell them for $10-15 including myself. To be sure, I have never seen an out of the ordinary duncan. You should post up some pics in case you do in fact have one. I might pay $50 if you did and would be very much interested in seeing one that was different than the normal few types that can be found
  4. Thanks for all of the replies everyone. Im glad i came back as I didnt knwo anyone had responded....need to updte email address ocboat, that would be fantastic. I will actually be in your area early afternoon on Friday, or I can simply email you a prepaid fed ex label and then when done mail them back to you. I really only need them for a couple of days. I live in the sticks between goldendale and Yakima, so dont get to the city too often. Thanks for the offer as well RoseCity........He has two options to check out so I like that even better. As far as the project.......Just want to play with some corals. I have been a 10k guy for years as far as my sps are concerned, and my eyes prefer to see the beauty of the corals under white light and think in many cases, especially blues, blue light destroys their vividness.........., BUT at the same time,I cannot deny there re some corals in particular that I feel like I have never been able to get to look as good as some people do under blue lights. I want to play with it firsthand and see just how much I can affect the zoox with the kelvin of the bulb, and possibly go to 20k's ovr my polyp system and throw a few sps in there that like the blue. I plan on doing this experiment in a tank connected to the main system so there will be no water parameter issues possibly clouding the results. Nothing too scientific, I just like to see things for myself. I already have tried the XM's and I hated them. Dull blue with hardly any real pop. Im hoping that a;; 20's arent the same way. and it isnt my obstinate eyes that are going to think anything above a 12-14k is simply too much blue. If thats the case I will still pick my favorite and do the drill. cool beans Tidalsculpin. Got any links to pics to see what you have built in the classroom?? Id like to check it out
  5. hopefully well used and cheap I dont care how old. Just want to see them in person before I buy some new ones for a project. thanks
  6. im still looking for a 4-6" naso if anyone knows where....... thx
  7. last bump This has to go away one way or another tomorrow. Im posting it on RC now I am at this point willing to ship it.
  8. bump due to many factors this tank changeout took way longer than anticipated anyway...Reefin...sorry for the delay. this thing is still yours but I havent heard back from the last phone calls or PM's I have left a couple of weeks ago so I will assume you arent interested anymore. if that isnt the case...please get in touch. otherwise, Im looking for a home still....and SOON. like in the next coupla days.
  9. lol. I would have to stop feeding rods food....or mortgage the house to feed him.......
  10. I hope t his isnt out of place posting this here......but being as i am over the hill and cant see for myself. Is anyone aware of a 4-5' naso(not a blonde) in any of the portland area fish stores?? Thx
  11. will buy...will trade for coral......... let me know. I need this fish asap as i am in the middle of a tank switch out and it needs to go in before I put the pb back. thx
  12. Ya...its a condy And its still on the same rock I got it on originally 3 years ago. its not rare...but it isnt common either. here is a better pic of the condy a couple of years ago when I didnt put himn under and behind my reef to get away from all of my sps
  13. This really pains me to have to get rid of this fairly uncommon trio. I have had the condy hosting the original clown for three years. The condy has survived being sucked into a powerhead right after I got it, and last year survived a tank crash which killed most everything else, and survived being ripped in half in a rockslide The second ORA clown I added last fall. it almost got eaten many times at first but the existing clown kept saving it and pulling it out of the nems grasp until it finally got slimed up and safe......then the esisting clown wouldnt let him sleep in it for months....would smack him down if he tried. It was a pretty interesting thing to see. They now breed. The condy is fairly large for a condy.... or at least seems large to me. I dont know how big they get. Its the only one ive ever had. his foot is abouot 4x4" and when open he needs some space. I keep it in a low nutrient system and it has never split on me besides the time it was ripped in half in the rockslide. I cant get a good pic of it as it is an odd spot in my reef and I ahve to take angled shots through acrylic. The condy is a perfect gentlemen and never once has moved on me from his rock even though he has been through more than a few different tanks and reaquascapes. I am drastically changing the tank set up he is in and I doubt this cooperation will continue in the super high flow BB environment the tank will be, so instead of risking any of my sps, or risking harm to it, I am going to get rid of it. I really want to find a good home for it, and much prefer it goes to an experienced reefer than someone new to the hobby. I would like $100 for the trio. I think thats a very fair price considering. However, the most important thing to me is finding a good home so if you can provide that home and either think thats too much or cant afford it.......I could be negotiable. I live in bend but can deliver/meet in portland in the next few weeks. here is a pic of the condy and the original clown.
  14. It has a couple scratches in it....nothing that affects anything that I could tell. I think I paid $100 or so for it. Just came across it and I will never use it again. If you have that camera and want it...... $5 shipped
  15. I just found one minutes ago Thanks for the offer defigart. appreciate it
  16. 2.5" would work as well. Doesnt have to be pretty and can even have a piece of pipe glued to it, space is not an issue as long as there is enough to glue a fitting to it thx
  17. yep. Its not an absolute as fish temperment can vary rom fish to fish and I have actually had 6 line for years that was a perfect gentleman and never a problem with nything through several tanks and many different kinds of fish. But if you take bulk experiecne from many different 6-line owners he was an exception, not the general rule.
  18. yellow coris is the most diligent and thorough pod predator I have ever had and ive had lots of different wrasses. I keep one in both tanks 6 lines are great too, but adding a 6-line will potentially influence and limit your choices for all future new fish additions
  19. OMG youve got to be kidding me. Ive been looking for one of these......and I finally found it http://cgi.ebay.com/AMAZING-Rare-CORNFLAKE-SHAPED-tortilla-chip_W0QQitemZ170204530374QQihZ007QQcategoryZ1468QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. too bad they look exactly like the amphipods that dont hurt anything. I really think they are different. Otherwise how could we explain them being harmless ofr years and then all of a sudden going rogue on us?? not likely. I know they love PE polyps of any kind. bunch of good wrasses and lots of flow to keep your polyps clean is the only solution.
