  1. Yeah...And no pop up blocker can save you...(flame)
  2. ? Chat here on PNWMAS or Route 66?
  3. ? How's the battle going? Someone had mentioned that putting a ball valve on the return side of the pump was the way to slow down flow, never put a ball valve on the intake side on a external pump. You never want to choke a pump down on the return side. Reason is, the pump will create to much head pressure and wear the pump prematurely. The pump can also get hot and draw to more amperage than what it's rated at. That Mag pump that is laying in your sump, is the reason you have micro bubbles. It is pulling the bubbles from the water surface. If that is the return, put a down spout of some sort and pull the water off the bottom of the sump, were there should be less bubbles.
  4. No hybrid I like to eat Prius's. LOL Check on battery life. I think there only good for 4 years and the cost is right around 3000.00.(bored)
  5. I would drop your salinity to 1.017 in your quarinteen tank. The parisites( bad speller ) can't live in low salinity. Fish don't need high tech lighting. Anything will work for them. Good luck.
  6. fuge I would agree with Lowman. It's most likely cyno bateria. Cyno usally shows up under high neutrient conditions and lack of water flow. First things first. Increase flow in the problem area's, cyno dosent like flow. The only changes you should be makeing right now is water changes. Your nitrates are way to high, you won't get anything to grow. Do water changes gradually. I mean 20% once every two weeks tell all your levels are in check (ie PH,Alk,Nitrates, ect..). Also check temp swings, your temp should not get over 82 and below 75. Thats my two cents, hope that helps.
  7. Acid HomeDepot has it in there guarden dept. The cost is 8.99 for 2 Gallons.
  8. This is a good read my brother-in-law sent me. I laughed my a#@ off. Enjoy.. Dear Tech Support: Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0 , Hunting and Fishing 7.5 , and Golfing 3.6. I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0 , but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0 . Please help! Thanks, Troubled User..... _____________________________________ REPLY: Dear Troubled User: This is a very common problem that men complain about. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING !!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0 . It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony/Child Support ... I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation. The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE! because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance . Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0 , Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2 . However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9..5 . Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0 ! WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3 . This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system! Best of luck, Tech Support
  9. I DVR'd the show. So Joel if you would like a copy, you'll have to show me how to do that K. I don't think DVR will let you copy the info, but someone with computer skill's could probably do it.
  10. I might add a couple of thing's to help your cooling... - You could run a fan in your hood area(Blowing outside air in the hood) just below the bulbs, to deflect heat from the water. - You could run your lights on a shorter time period to reduce water heat up. - Most important...Make sure your heater is set to come on at bout 74 degrees. Also don't scimp on a heater purchase. Buy a nice unit for a few bucks more, get something titanium with an external controller. - If your running an internal sump return pump, be sure the thing is not running hot. Reach in the sump area and put your hand on it. If so, replace it or clean it out. Cheers'
  11. Don't want to be rude, but why drill the holes in the bottom? It just seems to take up real estate that could be used for frags? Just wondering?(scratch)
  12. POTM My bad...Look at next post.

  15. once again..I refuse to go into a battle of witts with someone thats unarmed..
  16. Oh No...He's going to Bash!!! Well that would be expected from a accomplished reefer such as your self..as a matter a fact why don't you keep yourself there...(party) (clap)
  17. Once again he edit's his reply.... I want to add that we are not experts at this hobbie but rather a work in progress, and when we get folk that want to discredit the people that like to share the research and knowledge, it only holds people from shareing there experenses. So FlyGuy keep your discredting responses to your self. "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all". Also thank you for noticeing the reply to this thread..Your becoming cool...(party)
  18. ..and you would concider your self an accomplished reefer? No attack here, but rather a response you left for a fellow reefer that is well respected in our reef community. Had you spent the time and research that our fellow reefer izzypop has spent, you would know that this hobbie has alot of adversity. Once more, I would rather take advise from someone that has taken the time to research and read the facts about this hobbie we so desire. I'm not going to go onto a battle of witts here with someone unarmed, but rather ask you to open your eyes to what is outside of your spot in Bend, Oregon. LETS SEE HOW MANY TIMES HE EDIT'S HIS RESPONSE TO THIS REPLY???
  19. Skimmer Hey Powdertang05, How ya do'n I would agree with Izzypop. The becketts are loud and take constant monitoring, but work good. Go with a needle wheel style (ASM,Euroreef) as I've ran both kinds of skimmers and if I bought another one, it would be another needle wheel with a recirculation mod.
  20. 200gal I guess that would help huh..LOL this is me>>(nutty) 1200.00
