You can't slow the wavemaker down. The size of the tank determines the speed of the wave. I have heard good things from the radiums. I will have to try one.

Here are a few pics I took tonight as I was adding more coral. Most of the coral from the old tank has finally made it into the new one. I also have the hood hoist hooked up and working. I used several pulleys and coated wire which is hooked up to a screw drive hoist. If I need to do some work I can lift the canopy up several feet which allows me access to the entire tank. My ballasts are a strange mixture. 400w 20k XM --> Older Magnetic PFO 400w 20k XM --> Electronic BlueLine 400w 10k EVC --> Electronic EVC

The wavebox is made by Tunze. The pump next to the wavebox is actually a tunze 6100 not a Vortech. I looked at the vortech but they were having drive shaft issues when I purchased the equipment. Overall I'm very happy with the tunze equipment. Tomorrow my Neptune aquacontroller arrives!!! More toys to play with.

The 20k's really make things look clear and crisp. It will be interesting to see what kind of growth rates I will get with these bulbs compared to the 10k's.

The big lumenarc reflectors arrived on saturday so I was able to finish the canopy! The new 20k xm's look sweet! I still need to replace the center EVC 10k halide to match the new xm's. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture with the canopy doors on. lol oops. Greg

Torch swaying in the current

When the wave is at the top there is about an inch space from the top of the tank. I'll post another video in a few that will show what the wave does in the tank.

I love it. Here is a video showing the water movement at the top. I'm uploading another one that shows my torch swaying back and forth. It does a really good job of keeping the gunk suspended in the water column so it can be filtered out.

I see you can get standard or lab grade probes. Do you need lab grade probes?

I managed to get a few corals in the tank. Still have a bunch to put in but its a start. The stand is getting closer to completion. My lumenarc reflectors should be here on saturday to finish things up. Greg

I have 2 streams and 1 wavebox and love them all. If you get a stream make sure you get magnet holders so you can move them around. I have controllers on both streams which gives you nice control if you need it. I would recommend buying the bigger stream with a controller for the most options. Of course this is also the most exensive. :(

Just wanted to say thanks to the crew at Upscales. I had been looking for a copperband for a while and everyone on the boards said you should make sure they are eating before you take one home. I asked to have the fish in question fed and they did just that. He gobbled up the food so I took him home and is doing great. I have seen a big improvement in "friendly" customer service at Upscales in the last 6 months. The store and livestock all look great. Greg
