Well got your attention now didn't I! I have several 400w M59 multitap metal halide ballasts. These are just the raw ballast and mogul sockets. I have reduced the price to $15 each or trade for frags of SPS or LPS. I have about a dozen left. I have sold several both on here and other forums. I am just tired of looking at them and would like them gone. Let me know if interested. Shawn

I have a 90g with semi finished oak stand.

I highly recomend foam under an acrylic tank. I did not on my first one and regreted it. You still need a good flat stand, but the foam helps with minor imperfections. You can get some at Home Depot or Lowes. It really does not need to be very thick. 1/2" - 1"

That is what I thought as well until Joel showed me what he was doing. HE has some of these on his frag system he is setting up. Running this ballast and radiums. Personally I like the look of radiums on an HQI ballast which is what I am in the proccess of switching my tank over to.

They will work with several different bulbs. I have sold a few of these and I know that Joel is running radiums with them.

I still have a few of these left if anyone is interested.

Yes it is true you need to feed the Anthias multiple times a day. Once I got mine to eat dry foods, it became easy. I bought an ehiem feeder and fill it with several different foods, it feeds the tank four times a day.

Yeah I have tried several different bulbs over time. I am just not getting the light I like. Whenever I see a tank with radiums, I love it. I think it is time to start the change. Anyone interested in a 250w setup?

Randy, do you havve a tank shot? Are you glad you went with the 400's or do you think it is overkill? I am almost positive this is the route I want to go.

I am curious what everyone is using and how happy they are with it. My setup is currently 3 250w DE PFO mini pendants with Phoenix 14k bulbs being fired by Ice Cap ballasts. I also have two 6' actinics running. I have this over my 72x30x26 tank. Initially I was happy with it, but I have for a while felt it was a little dim. I am seriously thinking of scrapping the whole setup and going with 400w radiums fired by PFO HQI ballasts. I am just curious what others are using.

My vote is for the Aquatronica unit. I bought mine after I got frustrated with the Neptune power strips. I have not regreted the change one bit. It gives me complete control over everything and appears to be infinitely expandable. Now that the webserver has been released, it is a complete unit. This was a must for me as I travel. Just my .02
