  1. I'm selling my Hydor ETH 300 inline heater, it is rated for 300W. I used this on my 50G lagoon tank and it had no problem maintaining the temp of the tank. The inlet and outlet are 5/8". The heater works perfect. I will sell it for $30 obo, that is half the retail price... Rich
  2. I'm selling my Tunze Osmolator Auto top off system, it is around 1 yr old and still works perfect. It was never used with Kalk or any additives so it is clean. The system is probably one of the safest top off system that you can use as it has 3 separate controls to prevent over filling. I had this one on my lagoon tank just on the back of the tank and it maintained the water level perfect, I also use one on my reef and I have never had an issue with either of them. I'm am selling this with everything that you would need to put in on your tank today, and if you want I will even include the 5 gallon water container that I used for it. I will sell it for $150, that is $50 less then the retail cost... Thanks, Rich
  3. No it is not and I do not appreciate you putting this in my post. If you look at the ad you posted it was for the unit and DC8 but NOT for a pH probe. The pH probe is another $45. Rich
  4. I'm selling my like new AquaController Jr. (Backlight display) with pH probe, and temp probe and also the DC8 unit. I tore down my tank and I have the AC3 on my other tank so I don't need this one. The unit works perfect and has no damage, and the pH probe has always been in water. I will sell it for $225 obo... Thanks, Rich
  5. Nope, I was using it with a canister filter and an inline heater so I did not use the holes drilled in the tank. No closed loop for the last setup. This tank used to be my reef tank before I went with my bigger tank, so when it was a reef I used 1 of the 1" bulkheads for an overflow and the other for an intake for a closed loop and then the 2 1/2" ones a returns. If someone wanted to they could do the same thing very easily. Rich
  6. I need to sell my Bright pink bubble tip anemone because it is stinging my corals and I do not have a good place for it. I have had it for over a year now and its gotten to big for my tank and its making my clown aggressive. So I would like to sell it, I think $35 obo is fair. (Clown not included). Rich
  7. I'm selling my 50G Oceanic Tank, with the Oak Stand and Canopy (Custom made for this tank) and a 4 bulb T5 lighting setup that is mounted in the canopy. The tank measures 30"Long x 18"Wide x 21"Tall. The tank was purchased brand new in Jan 2005 and the stand was built for it a year ago. The tank is drilled in the back for 2 1" & 2 1/2" bulkheads, but they are currently blocked off ( can be changed easily). I had a SW lagoon type setup in the tank, but I did not have time to maintain it so I torn it down. It has been completely cleaned and coralline removed. The stand is 32" tall and the canopy is 10" tall. This is a very solid stand not a cheap plywood stand and the whole thing is sealed for protection, there is no rot or damage on it. The doors on the front and top of the canopy slide open for easy access and there is also a fan installed in the back of the canopy for cooling. The full package includes: 1 Oceanic 50 Tank 1 Oak stand 1 matching Oak canopy 4 24" T5 Icecap SLR Reflectors with end caps and holders. 2 T5 ballasts 8 24w T5 bulbs 1 4" fan mounted to canopy for cooling I'm asking $350 for the whole package obo. If you would like to see the setup please PM me and we can setup a time to meet. I'm located in Milwaukie.
  8. usplastics.com also has a large selection of plastics and best of all PVC fittings and valves.
  9. Joel, I would take 1 to start to see how the fish like it.
  10. I would go in on a pack or 2 of the Rod's food group buy. Nothing against Patrick's food but I did not care for the size of the food it was very small and the fish didn't really seem to care for it. But thats just my experience...
  11. I don't use the thermostats on the heaters, I have never found them to be consistent and I prefer to have more control over them. The Chiller is not actually installed yet, it will be outside on a concrete pad and a weather cover for it. I have the loop already done for it I just need to get the concrete pad done and then install it. The tank doesn't get hot now and it shouldn't get to bad in the summer as I have Central air anyway. Rich
  12. Well I guess my new Yellow eye tang was not doing well cause I think my anemone ate him...
  13. The pinkish one is a Yellow eye tang, not sure that its going to make it though, its been hiding a lot, the strange thing is I don't ever see anyone actually picking on it or chasing it so I'm not sure whats up with it. Rich
  14. Thanks... Reason for the separate controller is I do NOT trust the cheap temp probes that most of the Aqua controllers come with and I have had 2 many of them fail on me, so I have 1 heater on the controller and one on the aqua controller that way it gives me extra protection. I also have a separate circuit and controller for my chiller. The DC8's are great, I've had them for 3 tanks now and they still work perfect, won't be selling one anytime soon...
  15. Thank you. I love the Convict tangs, always out eating algae and even the red turf stuff too.
  16. And here are a BUNCH more pictures of the tank, room, etc...
  17. This is the junk that I poured out of my collection cup today, there was to much to all fit in this measuring cup but you can see how nasty and dark it is. Plus it stunk the whole house up for a while and the wife was not thrilled with that
  18. Yeah you will not regret the purchase of an ATB skimmer, I love the medium that I have it just continues to improve as time goes on. As for customer service it is great; Victor emailed me yesterday to see how it was doing. Its nice to have that level of support from the vendor, I thought the Tunze support rocked but this is even better. Rich
