  1. Actually this size is good for a 1 1/2" bulkhead because the size of the bulkhead is not the same as the size of the hole that it needs. Make sure that you verify the size of the hole that is required. Bump for a good price... Rich
  2. Yep, never had any issues with any of these. They are all the same size so that helps a lot.
  3. Seems light to me. I have a total volume of around 180g, skimmer rated for up to 400G, and stocked with: 1 Med Clown 1 Med Purple tang 1 Med Salifin Tang 1 Med Convict tang 5 Female Lyretail anthias 1 Male Lyretail Anthia 5 Med Wrasse 4 Small Cardials I still would like to get some more of the Cardials. I doubt I could get away with more Tangs or Wrasses though. Rich
  4. I've used Radium 400w 20k and Coralvue 20k on my PFO HQI ballast with no problem at all. The Radiums go out a lot faster on an HQI ballast but the coralvues are supposed to last for quite a bit longer. I'm also testing the Sun Light Supply 400w 20k bulbs and they work fine too.

    best anthias?

I've got 5 females and 1 male of the Lyretail anthias in my 130g tank and they are doing great. The trick to keeping them alive any healthy is to feed them at least twice a day if not 3 or 4 times. I have had them in the past and only fed them nightly and the eventually all died off. Rich
  6. Look around you can find used ones for cheap. I personally have 2 of them laying around that I need to get rid of. Rich
  7. You can do the same thing with a canister filter and the best part is the pump is built into it. Rich
  8. All of my fish go crazy for them, I'm really surprised yours will not eat them as they have always been the one food I could always get any fish to eat.
  9. Sol, How long has your tank been up with the cooked rocks? I think in the beginning you will see no algae for a while but as time goes by unless you actually stop what is adding the excess nutrients you will never stop algae from coming back. In my last tank setup I get a bunch of algae very quick and tried everything, I had 0 TDS, HUGE skimmer, very light feeding, rinsed all food, etc and could never find a way to get rid of the Algae. Well after going through the entire setup and still not finding anything that could cause I started working backwards on my system and I realized that I had not replaced my RO/DI filters in a while. Now I was still getting a 0 TDS from them so I thought they were fine. I still didn't trust them so I replaced all the filters and within 2 weeks of doing that and a couple of water changes the algae was gone. So, I guess they were adding something to the system that was creating the algae. Rich
  10. I started my new setup with 90% base rock, the thing is no matter what you do with the rock you will still end up with algae and other stuff just because you can almost never get your tank to that low of nutrients to stop it. So, I see no point to wasting a bunch of time killing all of the algae off the rocks and then putting it back in your tank. A better way to do this is to figure out what is causing the algae in the first place and work towards eliminating or controlling it and then it will go away. I've done that with every setup I have had and once i was able to figure out what was creating it I was able to stop it dead. Rich
  11. I would use the return pump to feed it, I did this with my last setup and it worked good, the thing to remember though is low flow. So you will want to put a ball valve on the feed to slow it way down.
  12. Not really interested in a cap, more looking for encrusting monti's line the Sunset. I have a Tyree Sunset monti with white polyps, and a yellow body with purple polyps.
  13. I would love to get in on this also, I used to have a bunch of different one before my tank crashed now only 2.
  14. You might want to talk with James from Envision Acrylic regarding a tank, I know that he has built some tanks the this type of setup and if anyone could do he could. Rich
  15. I have someone coming by on Sunday that is interested in the whole setup and will give me want I'm asking for it. If that falls through I will let you know.
  16. So, as I want to get rid of this and I have not really had any interested parties yet. How about $250, for the whole thing?
  17. I want to get this out of my basement this week if possible. How about $300....
  18. Yep, I sold in on RC, I had 6 people in line waiting after just 30 mins online. Now if I could just sell the rest of the stuff so easy...
