  1. I would think it would. Ive never used a T5's on a 24" tall tank. I think Rich is going to maybe hell chime in. I just dont have any expirience with that. From what Ive read you would be okay either way. More light for SPS in the 75 though. Later Ryan
  2. Man that sucks Dan. I just got a 2 gig Nano for my girlfriends for her birthday. She loves it. Now I gotta download music, Ugghhh . Later Ryan
  3. Let me know Neil if you still want the 20. I would be interested in all of those, except for maybe the paly. Thanks Ryan
  4. I think if you are going to continue to use the your Tek light the 75 would be best suited for it. T5's work great right at that depth. Later Ryan
  5. Yeah Im leaning towards the Tunze. Mainly because of the size and the quietness. Ive heard they are pretty efficient also. They are hard to find used though. I found a guy with a 9010 for $200 on Nano-Reef but thats about it. Just trying to save a few bones. Later Ryan
  6. Who makes the quietest skimmer while still be functional? I have had Euros in the past that were relatively quiet. I am now looking for something for my 37G. Also I would like it to be very very compact. Right now I am borrowing Reefin's CPR Bakpak (Thanks Reynaldo). It is already pulling some good gunk out but its a little noisy. I would like something that is dead quiet. Ive been looking at the Tunze and they seem to be a really nice skimmer. Any thoughts? Later Ryan
  7. So it is filled with water and I'm waiting for the sand to settle. Its still a little bit cloudy. Ill get pics tomorrow. Later Ryan
  8. Did you download the instructions off PM's site? They talk about some fine tuning stuff. Give them a call even. Later Ryan
  9. Looks Great Shawn!! BTW How is that PM skimmer working out? Later Ryan
  10. Maybe we should spread them out a little bit. Have each level like 300 apart from each other. Later Ryan
  11. I ended up plumbing my tank a little different than that. At first I was gonna use both holes as drains, but then decided not to. I ended up using the 3/4" hole for my return and teed it off to 3 1/2" loclines. If you buy complete loclines they come with a NPT threading just like sch 40 fittings. Thats all I used. You can buy it all at HD. Later Ryan
  12. I know Joel at Waves sells them. That would save you some shipping costs!! Later Ryan
  13. Where did you guys buy your Eheims? No one sells them locally so they? The 1262 seems like the one to buy. Later Ryan
  14. Hmm I might try that. I notice a big difference between the 2400 and the 4100. Ill give it a shot. Thanks guys. Later Ryan
  15. I know, LOL. I should be up there soon. Later Ryan
  16. I just hooked up a Genx 2400 for my return on my new tank and noticed a little noise. Well then I decided that since I had a Genx 4100 laying around I might as well try it. When I plugged in the 4100 it was three times as loud. Anyone else had problems with noise from these pumps or it that the way they just are. If so who out there is using a submersible pump around 600-900GPH at 4' of head that they like and is QUIET. Later ryan
  17. I filled it with water last night to make sure the tank had no leaks. Everything was good. So I filled the sump up and I am wet testing it right now. Plumbing has no leaks (so far) Ill let this set for a day or so and then moveit in to the house. Here are some pics. I also need to build a sump this week. the 10G will work for now. The return is also temp tillI go get my Seaswirl form Keith.
  18. Yeah that is the new one in Lancaster. Suppose to be nice. Keep us posted. Later Ryan
  19. Im going to be tearing down my 75 and putting the "choice" corals I have and selling the rest. As for the livestock im gonna be putting everything I have now in the 37. This includes a true percula, green chromis, yellow watchman, 6 line wrasse, and a pygmy angel. Im gonna see how those guys adjust before I think about adding anything. I think I might just stay with what I got. UPDATES- I got the tank plumbed with a temp sump (10G AGA) till I build the new one. Im gonna put water in it right now. Later Ryan
  20. I got the tank all cleaned up and even put some "orange oil" stuff on the stand. Then I painted the side where the overflow was and the back. Looks good. A lot better than being able to see through it. I gotta go get a 10G for a temporary sump and some sand so I can get it setup tomorrow. Im gonna borrow Reefin's CPR Bakpak for the time being till I sell my other stuff. Heres some pics Somewhat clean, Heres the back and the side painted. I just realized i missed a spot in the top corner, oops LOL. And heres the pics of the light I gotta plumb the overflow tomorrow, setup the sump, get sand, etc....Updates to come. Later Ryan
  21. Okay so here is the start of my new tank thread. I just got it today up in WA. Its a 24.5x18.5x21 37G Oceanic Cube w/corner overflow box drilled in the back. Only cost me $100 w/stand. I also bought a 24" Current Outer Orbit HQI 150w,2 65WPC, and 4 moonlights light setup. Here are some pics of it. I still gotta clean it Ill paint the back tonight. Heres a closeup of the light. I think im gonna like it!! MORE TO COME!! ILL UPDATE SOON!
  22. They are kinda like a glorified power-strip. It has 8 swicthes so you can turn stuff on and off for feedings, cleaning, etc., instead of unplugging it. Makes it nice. They also look alot cooler than a normal powerstrip, DUUHHH LOL :). Later ryan
  23. http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17229 He has a bunch of stuff for sale for good prices. If anyone needs anything I could probably pick it up. Heres the link. Later Ryan www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17229
