I got the 1000 hooked up tonight. Man this thing rips. I cant wait to see what type of gunk this yanks out. Im already getting a ton of foam and Ive only been setup for 2 hours. I like these skimmers! I lost my SD card to my camera "OOps" so it will be awhile till I find it. Then I will post some pics. LAter Ryan

Well I gave it a vinegar bath today and then set it up on the tank. This thing RIPS! I cant believe the bubbles this thing puts out. Im impressed. Later Ryan

Yeah I hooked up my 1000 in a container last night in freshwater just to test it and it was still making bubbles!! They are prices well too. Also the Octopus NW200 is a nice one if you dont have room for the recirc. Later Ryan

I havent hooked it up yet. I had to move all the furniture back in to the house today after getting the carpets cleaned. I will have it smokin by the end of the week hopefully. Later Ryan

skimmerwhisperer has one for $100 I think on Reef Frontiers. He says its a pretty sweet skimmer and he is very hard to please when it comes to skimmers. I think the only thing wrong with that one was that it had a crack in the collection cup, he fixed it perfectly though. Contact him that would be a good deal.

Okay so I have a 37G w/ 20G sump (filled with 13 app) What should I use as my feed pump? I was thinking a MJ600. Any thoughts? Thanks Ryan

Man I just hooked up my Eheim 1262 I got form Joel and that is a far better pump than what my Gen-x 4100 was. A lot quieter. Seems to pump out more water too even thought the 4100 was rated over 1000. It must loose quite a bit going 4'. Im very impressed. We will see how it does in the long run. Later Ryan

Sean at Cichlids was telling me something like that he would have to hang the light like two feet above the tank to acheive what he wanted. Soudns kinda stupid to have a light like that. Dont quote me though, maybe hell chime in. I really personally dont see this light taking off with the price tag. Later ryan

Im thinking about buying one of the Octopus Skimmers. The ones that come from China that Coralvue and Pacific Coast sell. Ive heard rave reviews about them. I dont think anyone here is running one but I just thought I would ask if anyone has had any experience with one. Or even if you have read about them. Thanks Ryan

UPDATES: I transferred everything over this weekend. That was a lot of fun, NOT!! I had to get the tank and everything cleaned up so Miles could pick up his new tank on Sunday. So I put everything I wanted to keep in my new 37G and the stuff for sale (leftover frags) in my extra 20H. Ill get some pics tonight but heres a rundown of my livestock and corals. No Prob Miles. That was the plan, LOL. Keep the tank close so I could check it out. Yeah that was definately a tight fit in the 4-runner but we made it work. Later Ryan
