  1. So you want to know total turnover rate, right? I was always under the impression that "turn over" was used to describe the flow thru your sump. And "flow rate" was to describe the amount in the display.
  2. I hope that that guy is wrong. My only question is the center of these quakes suppose to be near where these 'beachings' and 'weird fish events' happen? Because he mentioned SoCal had an event. So it should be located down there, right?
  3. WOW! That's dedication.........
  4. Sounds like a molt, but they are vunerable during this time. Good Luck!
  5. That sucks! Just another reason for us hobbyists to continue to look into fragging all our corals and supporting breeders. Hope everything ends up OK.
  6. Alereef- Looks really nice! And welcome! Alex- what kinda flow do you have going into the remote DSB? And how does it drain back to the system.
  7. I hear you can find these for about $50- 60 now. I'm thinking about getting one. But it still sounds like the tub must be leaching phosphates.
  8. I'm interested......... depends on the list. When will it be posted?
  9. What time is your flight? Meeting should be over by 4-5PM.
  10. Was thinking this too! Unless your tub is leaching it into the water.
  11. Welcome John. Sounds like you are way ahead of the average "newbie" and your plans look great! Two things: 1- can your "cheap" light you got with the tank work for your light on the refugium? 2- Glad you found the club. Hope you can make a meeting soon. Next one is March 27th.
  12. If you are interested in selling it..... price?

    NEW CAP

    Very cool cap!
  14. Go to your LFS they should have some. Or, yes, you can soak your food in water with a clove of garlic. Just remove it before feeding.
  15. Might try the garlic trick to see if that sparks interest on eating. Good Luck!!
  16. I have started a thread in every clubs forum that is in Washington. So they should know. Have not tried to reach any LFS up north thou.
  17. Hope they get it figured out! http://reefbuilders.com/2011/03/15/radium-metal-halide-bulbs/
  18. I would go out and get some baseball sized rocks/rubble and use that instead of crushed coral substrate.
  19. Both beautiful fish! I do not know where it came from but I had a cherub that was a picker. So keep an eye on him, just to be safe.
