shaywood
I have a rock with several anemones on it. I've attempted to entice them to come loose with no luck. Is there any chance if I remove the rock from water they will fall off?
Rugops
If you remove the rock and hang it upside down for a bit, they let go eventually. Edited December 23, 2023 by Rugops Specification

shaywood
Overall, yes. I removed the rock and placed it upside down in a large Tupperware bowl. The anemones didn't exactly fall off. It took several hours and some work from my fingernails to get all but 2 off. The good news is that I'll have some pretty impressive specimens to share soon. These anemones were shipped in several years ago and look great. It was just time to cull the herd.
Blue Z Reef
Upside down didn’t work for me and I had to work them off too. What ended up helping a bit was a floss pick like the one pictured. You can get that point slid under and start working it up. Good luck!
