Micah Posted August 10, 2023 Share Posted August 10, 2023 (edited) Well, I'm getting out of the hobby for a bit - again. I'm sure I'll return, but for now - the tank must go! This is a full Waterbox 180.5 setup as you'd get it from Waterbox - with a couple significant upgrades. Stand: The waterbox white stand in decent condition. There are a couple chips in the white finish, but overall looks great even up close. Top: A custom fit red sea screen top, so you can have wrasses and gobies without worrying about carpet surfers. Sump: All baffles/dividers have been removed. The sump setup that waterbox provides works OK in the short term, but for anybody with a thirst for decent right-sized equipment, you'll want the sump space. It previously fit a full red sea filter roller, giant skimmer as well as a couple reactors, two return pumps and dual heaters with ease. Plumbing: These tanks (red sea or waterbox) come with very odd sized plumbing. Waterbox for instance comes with standard sized fittings with metric pipe sizes. I have replaced all metric plumbing with standard sizes (in good looking grey BRS PVC). I also replaced their low quality gate valve with a much higher quality one that allows far better precision when tuning the overflow. The return plumbing has also been replaced. Check valve has been replaced (so it's not all gummed up) and the locline returns are true loc-line brand. Not that cheap imposter stuff. If you want to add attachments, just do it - it'll fit. Neptune Systems Apex (2018 edition, any probes I have for it and an EB832) Inkbird Heater controller + BRS Titanium 600w element. The aquarium itself is in good condition. There are a couple scratches here and there, but when clean and full of water they are hard to see unless you're looking for them. Including these items as well.... Yes.... 1400 gets you everything.... You're a moron to skip over this. And yeah, I get it... calling the person who may buy something of yours a moron, probably not a great sales tactic... Looking to move this tank soon to appease the wife and give her kitchen nook back. 1800 is an insane deal for a tank of this quality, stand, sump, AMERICAN high quality plumbing, a screen top, big high quality DC skimmer and a fully Apex compatible DC return pump.
