SuncrestReef
If any of you own a Neptune Apex Classic, be aware there have been many reports of unexpected reboots over the past few weeks. Neptune has been silent on this problem, but in the Neptune Community Forums it has become apparent that the the problem is resolved by installing the latest Apex Classic firmware update, version 4.53_4D19, available on Neptune's web site: https://www.neptunesystems.com/support/sw-updates/ If you have been experiencing this reboot problem, I highly recommend updating your device with the new firmware. If you have NOT had any problems, then just leave it alone and don't make any changes. 3
MorseReef
Thanks for the info. I could not figure out what was going on. Randomly my lights and pumps would go out then come back one within 10-30 seconds. I will try and update the firmware.

H20cooled
I thought I was having weird power issues on my setup, I had my return pumps go off and back on several times. Guess this is why. Thank you for the heads up!
SuncrestReef
Update: Neptune confirmed the problem and recommends installing the Apex Classic firmware update. Here is Neptune's official response: --------- We are receiving reports from our Apex Classic customers that they have been recently experiencing random reboots of their systems. This is only affecting customers using our Apex Classic and not customer who use the Apex and ApexEL. Our engineers have been and will continue to actively investigate this matter with the utmost priority to determine why this might be occurring. At this time we do know that customers who have updated to the latest release of Apex Classic firmware, 4.53_4D19, have observed that their Apex Classic system has stopped rebooting. The firmware can be found at: https://www.neptunesystems.com/firmware Please read the instructions included on that page to update your firmware. It is important to highlight that for a firmware update to occur successfully it is very important that your Apex AND the computer you are updating from be wired to your network. Do NOT update over wireless. Updating over wireless from either your computer or the Apex could make your system unavailable for use. We apologize for the inconvenience, appreciate your understanding, and please reach our to our support team if you need any additional assistance. To contact our support team, please fill out the contact page here: https://www.neptunesystems.com/support/contact-support/ Thank you!
