Can a fish develop black ich in hyposalintiy?

I have a Powderbrown tang in quarantine for about 10 days by now.

She seems generally fine, but I saw a few spots (ich) the second day I had her and started hyposalinity.

Tank water is at 1.009.

Today I noticed a few darker spots in the yellow area by the tail.

They would be hard to see on the rest of her body because of the coloration.

Not sure if they've always been there and are natural or if it could be black ich.

But I thought hyposalinity kills black ich!

Has anyone ever heard of it developing despite it or am I just freaking out?

Well, the hyposalinity is taking care of the Cryptocaryon, and I'm not even totally sure that the dark spots *are* black ich.

The fish is acting healthy, eating well, not scratching...

I don't want to start a stressful treatment, if it's really nothing.

I prefer to use formalin over copper for "black ich".

You might want to read this discussion from Wet Web Media on the subject.
