g2theram
What do you all use to get the rocks to stay out on one another? I'd like my scape to be mostly solid so I don't have to worry about rocks falling and frags ending up somewhere new. g2theram
Is this what you're talking about? Also is this like other foams that a small bit expands greatly? Any chance you know what color it turns? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Arsonmfg
I used 5/8" acrylic rods and a masonry bit to drill holes and just pound the rods in tight.
wanareef
must be the new can. There is a post on foam rock walls on reef central and how to use the stuff. great for "gluing" several rocks together to make one, this has a foam back wall, my old 80gal that sucks, I can't post pix's from photobucket

Exodus
One particular method yet to be mentioned also is Zip Ties, If the rock is pours enough or if holes are drilled discreetly you can hide the Zip ties really easily.
wanareef
This is the old 80gal with foam rock back wall and the rocks in front "foamed" together side view of the back wall Before the water, the three rocks out front have been foamed together, you can see some of the bulge of the expanding foam. Worked great, very close to permanent still have those rocks attached and using them in my current 225gal for a nem island Unfortunately you have to cover the foam with epoxy and then sand to keep the UV from degrading the foam, an extra step but worth it you can make just about anything with the foam - if you don't like the way it turned out, rip it apart and do it over again. Just like everything there is more than one way in this hobby my $ .02 pre inflation
