TheClark
This guy is dosing ammonia and nitrate... Interesting stuff. Not suggesting anyone does it, but it is a newer trend in the hobby worth monitoring.. His theory is that you have to do both. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2530490
Blackice
That's cool but I like fish as much as corals so I would just keep adding fishes till the tank got dirtier lol
Lexinverts
This makes sense if you have a skimmer that keeps your nutrients at undetectable levels. And it already hasn't worked to add more fish and/or just run your skimmer at night. It's a problem that I wish that I had in my systems. Jorge
Wouldn't feeding a little heavier do essentially the same thing? I also wouldn't mind stocking a few more nice fish instead.

It might, although some people have observed that feeding heavier tends to raise phosphate more than it does nitrate.
Jorge
Ahh, true. Phosphates suck!I like running phosguard on a very low stream 24/7 to keep them low.

My prob exactaly. Phos is too high and nitrates are hard to detect.

Mine barely tumbles yet I'm having trouble lowering them. Does amount make a difference?
