icepikbiker
What is going on with my hydnophora? Sorry for the cruddy picture lights are out, I was using my head light to take the picture. It looks like balls of white sewing thread got caught on my coral?
Lexinverts
Those are mesenterial filaments. They are extruded by the coral while feeding or fighting with a neighbor. Hynophoras will beat up just about any other coral with those things. Edited February 15, 2015 by Lexinverts
Saltwater newbie
Hynophora are definitely bullies. Will sting any other coral.
