Mitrillion
I am hoping to see some cost reductions as legitimate controllers come on the scene that can compete. I can no longer imagine life without it, vacations are allot easier with the APEX keeping a watchful eye on things.ya it would be nessisary, if I had like a 75 plus gallon tank! What do u guys think of apex jr? I mean because I have a smaller tank?!
matty
I use a Jr. fewer plugs and less possible modules but same tech as the full. Mine is a timer for lights and a temp controller, I won't have a tank without a temp controller, heaters suck.
fishmanmike01
Ok. New one. I've successfully added a DC-8 to my apex and have been running it just fine. Tonight I'm trying to add a second DC-8 and cannot for the life of me get it to recognize it. I've tried three seperate units, all to no avail. What am I doing wrong? TheClark
Might need firmware update? Try posting in apex forum too they are very good at responding.
reefnjunkie
Its been awhile since I add DC units but don't you have to assign them through the "add a module" they don't auto assign like the EB units. I may be out of the ball park but I'd poke around in that area
fishmanmike01
Thanks guys. I did in fact post in the apex forum and it turned out the cable I was using was a standard 2 prong telephone cable. The DC requires a 4 prong cable. Changed it and all is well now.
