Holly
The little chimney-looking tube sticking up out of the middle of my zoos? (scratch) It appears to have a teensy black thing with two antennae living in it. The tube itself is hard, not soft. I have a bad feeling about this. vanz
not a feather duster? If not, it looks harmless to me. BTW, i still want some of those zoos!
Nyles
I forget the name, but I have them in all my tanks, never had a problem, they are a worm of sorts, it lets out a mucus, catches food and drags it back in eating it. My wrasses eat them.
chewie
tube worm. The smaller purple/maroon ones are Vermetid snails.

Holly
**PHEW** Excellent! Thanks! Does that mean I'll be getting more? I can't get used to how you can have a tank for a long time and suddenly a new thing appears.
Lowman
they tend to be prolific in our systems. When you feed your tank they trow out a web like substance to catch food.
dsoz
You will get more... Many more. Welcome them. They breed like flies, and you cannot stop them. The only good part is that they are harmless dsoz
Holly
Yeah, I saw the slime-trail (as I call it) and was wondering what that was. I checked all over the tank and haven't found another one yet, but I'm sure they're in there, like you said. Just glad they're not evil. (clap) Thanks! PS Speaking of scary surprises, I have a mantis trap if anyone ever needs one. I ordered it online and never got to use it.
