Nyles
Where is the best place to get TMPCC? Is there somewhere local Eugene or Portland that doesn't want an arm and leg? If so then where online is the best place? Has anyone tried a simple Iodine dip in its place, since thats the active ingredient? I have found when I go in the LFS now I simply can't buy anything anywhere because I just can't trust that the system is pest free. So to validate use of my TMPCC I have to buy a ton of stuff... Since I end up spending as much on dip as I do on a coral sometimes.

Nyles
ya like whats the water to dip ratio? Thanks, I have read on it a bit but I would like some SOLID info.
impur
I tried dipping some acros infected with AEFW (when i had them) in TMPCC and another frag in Lugols. In the TMPCC dip they peel right off the acro, in the Lugols dip they wave at you, then continue chomping down on your acro no matter the dosage. So there has to be something additional in TMPCC. 23.99 http://www.fragfarmer.com/Tropic-Marin-Pro-Coral-Cure-200ml-p-91.html 22.99 http://www.reefexotics.com/misc.htm 15.99 http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/11656/product.web 19.95 http://www.bioreef.com/specials.php

izzypop
ahh good link thanks. Melev says "The coral's color was completely gone. It turned golden-tan. I believe the Betadine's antiseptic nature kills bacteria, including the symbiotic zooxanthellae within the coral's tissue." I don't experience this color loss with TMPCC. He has a picture of what the coral looked like after the dip and that doesn't look good but it is cheap. My acros look fine after a dip of TMPCC. Plus if you buy a new frag and dip it you might loose all color. I will stick with TMPCC. Thanks p-tang for the info. Nyles - Premium Aquatic has it as well. http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=TM-PROC&Category_Code=

powdertang05
ok well well ive used it atleast 25 times with atleast 10k worth of coral i did not see any color lose or anything most works actually had their polys out during the drip, but it did kill all aefw for sure didnt have to do anything other then do about 90 drops for 8L and in about 10 minutes. so with personal experience i see no reason why this wouldnt work perfectly and cheaper. also keep in mind he left the coral in that solution for 25 minutes thats way too long normally in 15 it killed everything on that coral including cop's, sep strs, algea, crabs (if left in the coral), mysis, redbugs, aefw(adults not eggs) and anything else. if you want to waste your money on that product go ahead im just trying to make it cheaper for the poor reefs out there. powdertang05
well i only have a couple of frags with rb they did all come off but to really see what it can do i would have to try it on one that is really infected. the ones that did have them had maybe 20-40 rb's nothing much.
