alittlemark
Ok, so I have this thing in my tank. It seems to like the shade because it always moves to stay under the rock it is attached to. Any ideas?

alittlemark
oh good... I expected an aptasia to be more interested in light. So if I take the rock out and scrape the aptasia off, can I avoid it reproducing?
cellowithgills
There is tons of stuff you can do, but scraping may not be one of them. If there's nothing else on the rock, I would boil it or dry it out.

alittlemark
Well, I removed the rock from the tank, as well as another that may have had aptasia as well. I just hope that I caught it in time.
Burningbaal
if not, aptasia x and stop aptasia work pretty well. also, there was just a group buy for berghia nudis, if someone ends up having extra after their aptasia are gone (and you have had more grow), see if you can get theirs. those nudis eat aptasia exclusively. Good to know, thanks. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for aptasia in the next few weeks.
