I will buy them from a different vendor if i can save that kind of money. Thanks, Jason

Nyles
WH ballasts are fine, as with any ballast if its a standard ballast and you make sure you wire it right you should be close to a 100% load, mine run at 101% on the money, you can call fullham and they are happy to give you the load info very quickly over the phone, very nice people. Now if you get into overdriving ballasts you will then be shortening the life of the bulb, as IceCaps do (but you get more par), as a rule I have seen from other light suppliers icecap or equivalent overdriven 10-14 months life - non overdriven 12-18 months life. Of course these vary per conditions, ballast, temp, hours a day, bulb used (you get my point) Just make sure you fan cool your bulbs, from the tests I have read you actually get more par and obviously more life with fans. These principals also apply to MH as far as overdriven and not (HQI, and regular, and ballasts that overdrive the bulbs) I just prefer to run more bulbs and not overdrive. I can keep my maxi clams, and SPS on the sand of a 24" deep tank not overdriving, so I just don't see the point, unless you choose to use less bulbs and replace them about 25-33% more often. I just don't like hassling with replacements and like to get the life out of them. But this topic wasn't about Life span it was about where to purchase. Sorry to get off topic.
