rgrcrain
Anybody seen this thing yet? Anybody buy one yet? I only need it for a couple anemones so the $100 is a little steep. DennisW
That was the device invented by Paul over on RC. It looks pretty cool. Looks fun to use as well. It really messes up a majoano's day. Maybe the club should buy one for everyone to use. Like the par meter but....cheaper. Dennis

Bigjohnwoody
I wonder how well this would work for killing nuisance soft coral that spreads way to fast. I'm stuck on ideas!
rgrcrain
I was planning on trying it on a couple of paly colonies that shouldn't be in my tank too. I will let you know what happens.
Electrokate
I'd rent it... pm me if you decide to go that route and let us know how it goes. I just hate that I let those things live in my tank... should have nipped that in the bud. Kate
Emerald525
Hey Roger you should give Barelycuda a call too he has a majano garden. Beth and I would be happy to give it a try for zoas and if it does really work. I would definitely be up for looking in to getting it for members to use it. pnkrcklives
Keep us posted to how it actually works. I had been contemplating buying one. Just did not want to waste my money buying something unuseable.
ThePremiumAquarium
Douglas(oxx) has one and it seems to work pretty well. It takes some time to nuke an infested area but if you just have a few here and there then you should be able to get it done pretty quick. I was pretty skeptical of it at first and still haven't personally used it(something a bit strange about a zapping probe plugged into the wall held in my hand under saltwater) it but I watched Clay during a slaughter session with the thing. Barelycuda
Yes I have a Majano biotope aquarium in the living room. I sent a photo of it to Scott Fellman as he wants to add it to one of his talks I do want to get rid of them so I would be very interested to see how it works. Breefcase
Roll on one... John Majano, you've been condemned to die by the electric wand by a jury of your peers. A sentence imposed by a judge of good standing in this state. Do you have anything to say before sentence is carried out? (only silence, except for the whir of pumps, and faint water trickling sounds) John Majano, electricity shall pass through your body until you are dead...in accordance with state law. May God have mercy on your soul. Roll on two.... (Apologies to The Green Mile...) Yes, I have one, and it does seem to work pretty well. Fun to use too (evil cackle(laugh)). If someone wants to borrow it, I'll be making my usual commute this thursday evening.

Breefcase
Hi Kim, They seem to be kept pretty well at bay. I can swing by on Thursday, and we can do some zapping. Do you have a lot? I don't remember seeing any last time I was there, but I was probably too dazzled by your corals to notice.

No I don't really have that many. There's none in the sps tank but a few in the other tank and not that it matters in the maxi mini tank. I just want to play (laugh). I could also pass it along to Barelycuda to see how it does on cluster.

rgrcrain
I got this thing and it seems to work. It really wasnt as exciting as I had hoped. I was hoping for more of a "Emperor zapping Luke Skywalker" kind of show, but I guess watching Aiptasia "melt" is cool too.(rock2)(laugh)
