finch6013
I have a blue Tenius and an unknown blur tort looking sps growing into each other. They are not killing each other at all and have actually grown together and are starting to grow outward from the jont. Thought this was interesting and was wondering if it is at all typical of certain sps as I have not had this happen. Usually it results in a chemical warfare and someone dies. Michael7979
I have no idea............. But maybe they are a close genetic match and see each other as 'the same coral'. Intead of being two different ones. Hope you followed that and understand what I'm trying to get at.
finch6013
I understand that. I am interested to see what happens of the two growing together. They have been like that for about a month now and so far so good.

dsoz
I have had some montis grow together. A cap and an digi do not go well together, when I finally moved them, the cap was winning. Now the digi is just a white skeleton except for the four frags of tips that I cut off and were able to save. Also two encrusting montis have grown together, the purple one seems to be growing over the orange one. I also have had a digi grow into a green cyphastria. The cyphastria won hands down. dsoz
finch6013
It seems that monti caps will grow and mix no problem. I have seen pics of people mixing three or so colors to form one. I have just never heard of two very different corals growing together like that.

Not sure why as I've seen other people mix their caps up too.
impur
I've got a digi and an undata touching now. Doesn't seem to be harming either of them. I just had to clip a branch off my tenius today, it was beating up my pink stylo.
siskiou
I wish my tenius would win against the surrounding zoanthids!(threaten)
