I am going to be upgrading to a 180 in the next couple weeks and I am in the market for another skimmer (even got the ok from the boss (wife)). I've heard both good and bad about this skimmer.

The Good:

Extremely efficient; pulls out a ton of skimmate daily

Built like a tank

Easy to set-up and tune (and keep tuned)

Does not change behavior due to changes in sump level from evap

The Bad:

Extremely finicky

Difficult to set-up and tune (and keep tuned)

Changes behavior easily due to changes in sump level from evap

So, is it a good skimmer that is easy to maintain, (basically idiot proof) or is it difficult to deal with, requiring daily fiddling. I'm looking for something that will not need to be adjusted daily. Should I be looking at this one from Bob, or should I be looking at another, possibly a recirc?
