Benny503
My SCWD failed on me a few months ago, I was going to throw it away but before I did that I found a few people on nano-reef had done a mod to it. I just wondering anyone here in our forum have done it? Here is a copy of the link they mod their SCWD http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76847&st=0 , I have no tool or equipment to mod my SCWD. The cost of buying tools to do the work would cost me more for a new SCWD :-) I am willing to pay for the Mod parts and some labor.

siskiou
Yep, I've modded mine, but just the simple "add a lid so I can open it up for cleaning" mod! Worked like a charm, with a little advice from Miles, I think! I couldn't get the parts with the gears out, but he recommended using a clamp and that did the trick. wanareef
Yeah, those are nice for flow, but takes away some of it to operate. IMO, nice for a small tank. Used one on my 30gal, hated it

Benny503
Yup the 1" model had the whole top open for cleaning, but I really dont want to re-plumbing/throw away the 3/4 :-)
