Recommended Posts

Looking for people willing to go in on a berghia group buy.  Shipping is 48 bucks, so going in as a group we can save allot.

They are on sale right now, with shipping costs shared we can get a bunch for the $$

Must be able to meet me in Woodland for pickup.

Please PM if interested

Going to try and raise them again or just need to do a "cleanse" on the tank?  Too bad no one locally has been able to keep them going (as far as I know).

Just a cleanse.  How these guys grow enough aptasia to feed these things is beyond me.  One nudibranch can eat ALLOT of aptasia!

When you add to your tank are you gonna shut down flow or no? Do you try and place them on the rocks? I don’t want my fish to eat them. Mine come tomorrow.

Congrats!

Definitely squirt them deep into the live rock.  These guys are quite little and an easy snack.  Pumps off is not a bad idea.

Put them close together, so they can find each other and breed.

Be patient, it takes weeks even months for them to build up enough population.

I can't believe I didnt see this thread? Keep us updated on the progress.

Ya, you would have been an easy guy to have in on the group buy!

I hope to get some babies, enough to resell some locally, so if things go well I have ya covered!  Seriously though its going to be at least a couple months.

Has anyone tried to breed these things locally?

You know, I've been downsizing my aquarium, but it would be cool to have a nudibranch tank.

I'm going to look into it.

From my research it seems nearly impossible to keep enough aiptasia to breed them for a resale purpose. Most places that breed seem to offer a 1 to 1 healthy live rock for aiptasia covered rocks in attempt to keep their foodsource stocked.
