I've got lots, but how you get them out of the rock is the question 🤔. If you know I'd be happy to give you some.

They're pineapple sponges, good thing to have in your sump. Wouldn't try to get rid of them.

Sorry I thought u got it. I will put u next. I promise I am on top of these meters. I know one has been out for over a month. I do the best I can. Wish it would move faster.
No problem, not upset, thank you!

Less than a week to go until this month's meeting, just a reminder to bring a frag with you for the blind frag swap!
-
Thanks for the advice and offer!

I had dreaded 0/0 nitrate & phosphate for awhile which starved the coral and anemone. The tank is back to normal and all the coral are healthy but the BTA continues to look like this after a month.
Will it ever recover or is it dying a slow death? Nutrients have been back up for awhile. I've also tried feeding it.

Announcing PNWMAS Blind Frag Swap, September 25th 2022
Last month’s frag swap was such a hit that we want to make sure we continue the fun with September’s meeting at All Things Aquarium! We had 31 total last time with many really nice pieces! Only 3 LPS though. Can we beat it this month!? Yes, challenge accepted...
Let’s get the ball rolling by posting some of the pieces you plan on bringing in below.
Here's how it works
- Bring a Frag, go home with a Frag. Of the same category.
- Organized by category. SPS/Stony, LPS/Hard, and Zoa/Shrooms/Softies
- Up to two frags, per paid member
- Bring up to two frags, in separate bags. Sharpie the frag name on each bag.
- You will get a ticket for each representing what coral category you brought
- At check in, your frag will get hidden in another bag
- Check-in is from 1-2pm
- At 2:30pm, exchange your ticket for a blind frag of the same type you brought
- At 3pm, remaining frags will be sold for $10/draw, to paid members (The club will be supplying some bonus frags into the pool as well. Therefore, there will be extra frags.)
- Two frags per member. Don't make these the worst frags you have, we want everyone to go home excited about their new frag! Bring a cooler to drive new frags home.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at this month's meeting!

I'd think if the chloramines were making it past your carbon filter it'd begin degrading the ro membrane and start burning up the DI resin prematurely.
There might be other factors in play because of the move. Replenishment of major/minor elements, different PO4 NO3 levels now, etc. I saw the biggest improvement in corals getting fluffy when I boosted my nutrient level.
Just some thoughts. Hard to say without an ICP before and after but your rodi should've been filtering out chloramines.
-
PO4 and NO3 look good, within range.

Not sure on SE Portland but there's TAP Plastics in Tigard

I have a large emerald crab that I don't need anymore. It's never touched my corals in my mixed reef.
Since they're not expensive, trade for a frag?
Tualatin.

I'll sell you my 5 head Jebao doser if you're interested.

I'm ok buying expensive if it's worth it, but if cheaper items are good too then why spend more.
Just looking for some guidance. Thanks!
P.s. I don't have an Apex so I can't get thr Neptune dos.

Looking forward to meeting everyone, I missed tge last one.
Is a frag swap an option? If others are interested, I'll volunteer to set it up and manage it.

In case anyone is interested, the tentacles receded into nothing but was still alive, moving and reactive to light. In the end it kept declining and I decided it was better to pull it out.
After I pulled it, I noticed all the soft corals in the tank were much happier and fully extended. Might be a coincidence but I'm think it was releasing something into the water. It was definitely leaving slime behind when it would move.
