  1. I know who to reach out to when I need new lights 😂 I’ve been wanting to go back to t5s but the fixtures don’t pop up like they used to plus I don’t need a 4’ fixture on a 2’ tank
  2. That’s awesome!! They are sweet lights
  3. Where did you find that gem??
  4. Did a nem die or get caught in a powerhead? Did you check ammonia?
  5. Ooh that’s cool!!
  6. Also any recommendations on a reactor?
  7. I do enjoy daily tinkering. This would be a new system so that’s good to hear about it being easier to start. is there anyplace you recommend to start looking? I’ve been on the zeovit forum but it just seems like nonsense since I’m a visual person
  8. Does anyone local still use Zeovit system? How complex is it to run and use? I’ve been looking intoit and just get lost in all of it. So anyone local who uses it or has used it please dumb down everything needed to run it and start it. i know a reactor is needed but where I’m lost is are you still using dosing pumps for calcium and alk or do the blue bottles handle all that? It’s just something I’m truly not familiar with and very interested in doing for my next build

    Sps no fish?

I would really love a invert/sps only tank. loads of shrimp, snails and sps. Maybe just maybe 1 mandarin goby if I can get the pod population to thrive.

    Sps no fish?

I guess it’s more of a curiosity, I can always get clowns or some other form but there aren’t many fish that catch my eye that are suitable for a nano. I love hawkish, coral beauty and mandarins but i feel nanos are too small for them

    Sps no fish?

Is it possible to run a successful long term tank with no fish and just sps with inverts? I’d assume it is if you dosed and fed to account for the lack of fish poo its possible but is it sustainable? Anyone who is doing this please let me know how.
  12. As long as you keep water moving and temperature up they should be fine for a few days until you can source a new tank. I also believe pet smart is having a sale on tanks right now so might be able to get a good deal on one
  13. Title says it all. Used about 6 months and been sitting collecting dust. $65 obo pick up in Salem aqueon heater300w $10 ea koralia nano 565 $10 aquatop automatic fish feeder $10 Random lot of fish parasite treatments, calcium carbonate, reef fusion, garlic power. $60 for it all. API saltwater test kit $10 generic refractometer $10 text for faster reply 503-420-6429 can send specific pictures if wanted as well.
  14. I too would like to know what you suggest, I don’t have anything currently in my tank since I used dry rock from the start.
  15. I assume the other frags were a little older. The acro seemed to be a brand new frag. I left everything on the plug simply because I didn’t want to stress them out after shipping and will remove them later
  16. Well my review is this. Everything was packaged well double vacuum sealed. Corals were very clean (didn’t see any pests) but some had hair algea (not bad though) so far everything looks very healthy the only coral that looked new and wasn’t fully encrusted on its plug was the acropora. This is the first sps in my tank also venturing into lps wish me luck!
  17. Does anyone have experience with salt critters? This is my first time ordering from an online retailer and I’m hoping they are good.
