Ten years ago i used Oceanic Sea Salt and nothing did great in it. Switched to Instant Ocean and everything took off. Started growing like crazy. Now that im back into it, i just started with IO. so far so good.

I keep Salinity around 1.0255 and Ph is 8.2

I need a hang on back or internal skimmer for a 30 gallon tank. Anyone have an extra one on hand that they want to part with? I need one rather quick and i cant get one delivered from Amazon until monday. I work in Tacoma and commute south to Chehalis daily.

Update. Got home from work today and water is more cloudy And fish are stressed.. (blue damsels turning black). Water parameters are perfect

Can Bacteria Bloom make the fish stress out? And wouldnt a bacteria bloom cause an imbalance in water parameters?

You need an overflow so you get surface skimming. You can’t get the stuff off the surface with a HoB filter. I had a tank with a bad [language filter] canister filter and tons of flow and had the same problem.

I run two AI primes over one of my tanks and One OR over the other.  Both are lagoon tanks.  
I would highly recommend OR. My AIs are always having fan problems.  If you’d like pics I can shoot you some

Only thing I’m seeing as an issue is no fans. Most Chinese lights tend to have the minimum thickness possible heat sinks so they rely on a fan to keep them cool...not seeing anything on those units [emoji51]. Heat and LEDs don’t play well, especially for longevity.
