Before and after of my 40 gallon mixed reef after only 7 months. Im running a sumpless, all DIY system.
I feed marine pallets once per day, dose phytoplankton once per week, and 5 gallon w/c's once per month.
Lighting is DsunY Popbloom programmable LEDs on a custom DIY hanger.
Hope y'all like it!

Changing camera settings can give you some vivid images without lenses

Got a bunch of new corals and making the switch from Red Sea Coral Pro, to Fritz RPM salt. RS has been great, but really puts a dent in the wallet.

Welcome. Need a lot more people in western Washington on these boards. You going to start a build thread?Hey guys, I've been away from reefs for about 12 years now and found this group through Reef2Reef. I had to sell my last tank when I moved from AZ to WA but recently gave in to the desire to start another reef. I'm pretty excited. I have quite a pile of parts stacked up in my kitchen and hopefully my Waterbox will be here early next week. Hope to meet some other local reefers soon.

More work? Explain yourself sir! Lol.I did skimmerless for a few years much more work and getting nutriants out is a pain
I've been skimmerless for about two years. Just run filter socks and cheato. Little to no work at all. I wont say ill never go back to a skimmer, but not in the foreseeable future.

Update! Corals are really taking off since the addition of the new lights. Installed a new return pump. Old one was noise.

Ok! Finally got my new lights set up after building the light hanger frame. Lights are DsunY popbloom LEDs and the frame is made from aluminum. Corals are loving the lights after day one!
