  1. Some photos finally. Not sure whats pending and what isnt at this point. Had alot of messages, but nothing concrete. Comment here if youre gonna buy something. Lost most of the sps, the remaining frags are spoken for aside from the high end stuff that was unaffected due to being in a different system that wasmt moved, and maybe PC rainbow and an aquacultured bali shortcake aka pineapple shortcake. Gonna give the remaining sps and the torches atleast a week to recover. The acans, lobo, favia, most of my other lps and softies are ready to go. Ive got some zoas i dont know names of as well. Will update with more coral pictures as well.20200520_080916.thumb.jpg.78ee49eed83e81761be9eb4a83774f46.jpg20200522_133534.thumb.jpg.f27fade6b51f0779034dabd7d2048cd1.jpg20200522_133831.thumb.jpg.a059836727f3e1b2e3c0fbdd60fa5c07.jpg20200307_192158.thumb.jpg.f2186626623681a1a7f920996ecc2c94.jpg20200307_194424.thumb.jpg.a8f25eb422176a7e51a13581bd326841.jpg

That’s a real shame. Hopefully when you get back on your feet you’ll be able to start it back up in full. I know I’d happily donate a frag or two once you’re doing well again if my reef is still up and running.

That aside, for now I think I’d be interested in the halloween urchin and the rw15. Need to think on if I want or can add any frags now, though I likely will acquiesce and add some after I find some room in my tank for them. I’d love to have some of the snails and the peppermint shrimp if possible too.

Peppermint shrimp is called for, everything else is available. Shoot me a pm

  3. Unfortunately life has decided to kick my teeth in. I decided to open a business a few weeks before all of this covid stuff started. Things were great at first, but once the stimulus checks started to run out business definitely fell face first. Unfortunately to keep a roof over my head I need to sell off my fish, corals, and equipment and step out of the hobby for a bit. Unfortunately i crashed my tank while moving it and lost a bunch of acros, but luckily a friend was hanging onto my favorites. Once I find a new job, and enough extra cash to start another system, I see a large peninsula in my future. Anywho! The post you all came for! Ill start with available fish.

  4. So on a wild lobo I got a while back i found a small hitch hiker. I left it because it never seemed to cause any issues. About a year later I noticed another one on a rock. I had a temp swing in the nano i had going after i sold my 93 and i killed the small one that was on the rock. My lobo grew out and I wasnt able to see the original anymore so i figured I lost em. Ive been removing my sand bed to prepare for a move so things have been getting looked at a bit closer lately. I found the one on my lobo is still kickin along, growing slowly, and ive been pulling out finger nail sized shells with my sandbed, and small living ones. Last night i I managed to find a complete closed shell of a larger one. Interesting lil creatures.20200908_114833.thumb.jpg.952df8be2dbaf812582b5e988485d436.jpg20200908_114848.thumb.jpg.f8c6b996a30e4e16a804224e551e97ca.jpg

Thank you, Taylor @Taylorhardy1!  It was great to see you and meet your brother.  I forgot to tell you...the one in the upper left hand corner is a JF Lunar Lepto.  One of the most unique leptos I've seen.  Just wait till you see it under the lights--low to medium.  You'll see what I mean.  : )

Sweet!!!! Thanks everyone else for saving the best pack for me😉

  6. My old job had jason fox, wwc, rr, and sbb corals blocked because they had a system setup for any site unrelated to cars only allowed to be accessed so many times. That system had an enormous amount of flaws though.

  7. Like the title says, does anyone have a 4' peninsula, or 3' cube they'd part with? Im moving soon, and when I move I need to build a new stand for my 120 but Ive been tossing the idea of upgrading to a peninsula, or a 150 cube. I dont mind something that needs a little work, but ideally looking for just a tank/stand. The taller the stand the better.

Hi gang. I seem to remember a mobile mechanic hanging out on the forum and can’t remember who it was. Three out of my four cars could use some work. If anyone remember who it is I’m all ears.

That's me! I'm pretty busy right now, but shoot me a text @ 503-504-1605, and we can discuss what you're needing and I'll get you on the schedule.

  9. I mix to 1.026, and have been using the black bucket for a while. I test everything down to n03 and p04 so I can match the numbers to what I want before the water enters my display. I found that typically the black bucket mixes 10.3-10.6. I reduce it down to 9.2 with organic white vinegar before it hits my display so everything can maintain stability. I'm gonna switch to the blue bucket and start supplementing alk, cal, and mag in the water change water. I feel as though itd help a bit more with stability if I could get dead on the numbers I'm looking for. I run a calcium reactor so my main tank stability is relatively easy to maintain as long as I ensure all water going in is near identical levels. All it takes is losing a few corals to water change water that mixed low before you start testing everything.

Taylor and TrailerMann, you're getting closer.

I actually already ran a meter through my tank and can be taken off the list.

ATI Powermodule would also be a good choice. I had a 4 bulb over my 20 but it was a mixed reef. 6  x 24 would be perfect.

2nd for powermodule! I have a 36" 8b hybrid fixture over my 4' 120g and I've got sps in the corners practically on the sand. Hands down my favorite light fixture of all time.

I cant speak much of ai as the only lights I've used from them were nearly 10 years old. Ecotech radions are unbelievable lights, will pull insane colors out of sps.

Reefi is definitely a good option worth considering. Havent used any reefis personally but they put out similar/ maybe better spectrum and spread in comparison to ecotech, the fixtures are super sleek and nice looking, and the lights have virtually no light spill. The display at cuttlefish is lit with reefis, and theres some super nice sps in there just on the sandbed.
