Well the time has finally come. I've been borrowing my brothers protein skimmer since I set up my tank. Well, he's finally ready to set his up and I'm super excited! That means I need to start looking into getting one for myself though. I need something rated for around 120G and need it to include the pump. Hoping not to spend a ton. If you want to be safe 2" would be fine and you can just do a gate valve to adjust the flow through your overflow to get rid of the noise. My HoB is ratted at like 1200 gph on a 40B and I just adjusted it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was talking to somebody today who said a Diamond Head Gobby or Pink Spot might work well in my tank. My only concern is my sand is very fine and I don't want it to cloud it up. I do have a mushroom coral in the sand but other then that the sand bed is clear atm. My question is would I be safe getting one? Well it's been a journey! I got into the saltwater hobby about a month ago now. Bubbarockies and I have had some fun building it. Figured I would show off my tank now. Still a work in progress. My first fish that my wife, bubba, and his wife surprised me with! Tank setup without the sump letting it cycle. Took over the dinning room table getting ready to build the HoB overflow and get the sump up. I decided to skip the picture of my hand that I might have drilled a tinny hole in... Under the tank. The Coral I have atm. And the rest of my fish! (The light was off but he's kinda a butt. Every time I pull out my phone he hides lol) And the tank as a whole atm! I figured this out btw. I had to much flow from the pump. The overflow could handle it but it causes a gurgling sound. I added a valve to control the flow. To little flow causes a loud sloshing noise. Just incase anybody uses this and has these issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
