I'm new to the reefing hobby and new to this forum. I've been posting since February at Reef2Reef to document my Reefer XL 425 build, but just recently discovered this local forum. I live in Beaverton.
My tank has been operational for just over 6 weeks now. Here's my current list of livestock:
- 2 Onyx Clownfish
- 2 Blue Chromis
- 1 Tailspot Blenny
- 1 Yellow Watchman Goby
- 1 Pistol Shrimp
- 1 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
- 5 Tiger Sand Conchs
- 30 assorted snails
- 10 hermit crabs
Corals:
- Rainbow Stylophora
- Green Slimer
- Candy Cane
- Hammer
- Duncan
- Zoanthids
- Montipora
I want to thank the guys over at @CuttleFishandCoral for their help in choosing my livestock. 😊
Your tank looks like it will soon be a show stopper. Can’t wait to see the progression

What brand of salt?
-
The buckets were sturdy, I still have on from about 6 yrs ago.
-
Idk why Red Sea has made these buckets so flimsy I had the same problem with the blue bucket but the inner bag also broke so lots of the salt was lost in the shipping box.
-
After you catch yours you can come here to catch mine. 😂 just kidding but if you live in Vancouver I do need mine caught. Why are you selling your wrasse?

Why are there posts for things for sale or upcoming events from 2012?
How about getting rid of out dated posts!

I would be interested in a frag. I can pay or trade .
Make me an offer or what do you have to trade?

Any chance you would be willing to ship them? I don't really have the ability to travel outside the Eugene area.
Sorry I can’t ship besides it would cost more to ship than the cost of the coral

Years ago I donated all my reefing related literature to the club. I have decided I want to rebuild a set of Coral Magazine in its entirety.
Looking for folks who have some that they want to unload, preferably in lots, before I turn to ebay and start looking there.
In an increasingly digital world I am starting to yearn for the feel of paper again, let me help you clear out a closet of 10 year old advertisements!
I have about 20 coral mags if your interested I’m in Vancouver

I have been out of the hobby for awhile easing my way back in and I am wanting to start back up with simple corals. If anyone has any beginner type corals that they would be willing to part with please let me know.
If you are still looking corals I have gsp, a Kenya or sinularia which is a brownish green color. Together $10. Have gobstopper plays about 15 polys for $25 obo. I live in Vancouver but we can meet half way

Got a few frags and one large colony I’d like to trade. Looking for cool acans, blastos, elegance, plate corals, etc. No sps, taking a break there for a while.
what I have:
1 massive colony of Devils Armor zoas on a cool rock (roughly 7” x 7” if I were to guess). Too many heads to count.
1 frag of Sunny D zoas (6 heads plus 2 baby heads)
2 frags of nuclear green zoas (4 heads, 3 heads)
2 Duncan frags (ball type, not branching)
2 frags red blastos, with black stripes and they are getting some cool yellow-ish to them too for some reason (5 mouth, 2-3 mouth)
I won’t be able to go to the meeting, but do drive i5 fairly regularly for work so I may be able to meet up possibly. Otherwise, located in Vancouver Wa.
As you can see, photo skills are non existent. I can try to get individuals of what I’ve got, but google may be your best friend for some clearer pics to get a general idea of color/detail.
Open to selling too if you don’t have anything to trade, make me an offer if so.

Yours look nice. Mine is growing nicely but will be awhile before I can frag. Had a bubblegum digi but it died😢

This algae popped up a while back and i trimmed it off and covered it with superglue but it has come back. It is only on this small rock with some zoas on it and as you can see Benny the Blenny likes to perch on it but not eat it. The bristle worms love it too. It feels like plastic and crunches when you pull it off.
At first I thought it might be bryopsis but I’ve only seen it in my tank to look like feathers and not in a clump like yours. Can you tank a close up pic of a few strands outside the tank?

Hey Justin, welcome to the club. Have you decided on the size of your new build?
