Same, I use a 5 gallon bucket also. Was thinking about drilling my 10 gallon tank to use instead but....I turned it into a nano haha.

It's an SWC 160 cone skimmer. With a brand new pump. It's on my frag tank right now but that might be coming down in the next few months. Not sure how fast you wanted a skimmer.

Your welcome, glad I could help!
And for reference with SPS in the same tank(other half) I keep the light at 75 blue and 50 white. Or at least close to that. Those levels gives me really good growth and ok color. Still gotta get my nutrients up to help with color.
Color intensity may have been better in the other tank because the lights were so bright compared to what they are under right now.

My frag tank is about 10 inches deep and on my zoa/LPS side I have my intensity at 30 blues and 10 white. Gives it more of a blue look but that's how my zoas seem to like it. And my lights are about 20" off the water. Everything seems to get good color/growth. I would think that your corals will need to acclimate to the lower light after moving them over but you can always go up in intensity and watch how they react. Much better to work up than to shock them with too much light and try to come down haha.
I'm still working on finding the lights sweet spot but right now the corals seem happy I would say though that you are in the right area of intensity.

Been there man:/ Bayer dips every 5 days for a month and a half knocked them right out of my tank! Haven't seen one since! I did have a couple colonies die due to stress from dips though. :/
Good luck with your battle!

Dang been waiting for a while!
Mine are matting out with a little space between eachother but I'm letting them get nice and happy in my tank before slicing them up. Got two babies growing right now and that will put me at 9 polyps maybe in two months I'll frag em. Need to cut em so I can keep a backup in my display lol!

shoot me a pm with a pice and then if you end up selling and I still need a tank I'll know what number I'm shooting for and I do like to just see what everyone hasI just changed jobs and had to break down my IM20 a few weeks ago. It's all sitting in my spare bedroom and I haven't decided yet whether to keep it for later or just clear it out now.

bumping up a slightly old thread haha. How do you like your nuvo 40? I am considering getting either a 40 or a 20. Like the idea of having the extra water volume and real-estate. Anyways what are your thoughts on the 40?

HhhMmm I do love cubes because of more coral space but I do like the rectangle look. I just need one of all them [emoji23][emoji23]
Thanks Kim, if I don't find one before you are ready to upgrade I'll hit you up !

That would be awesome, I would be happy to swap frags to get new stuff in your tank if you would like otherwise i have cash too:)I will do that and I'd love to bring you some of those next time I head down your way. They came from Mr. Brett I believe when I was at the meeting in Oct.Everyone was to gracious to help us get our tank growing! So if you decide you don't want to wait on me you can always go directly to the source! I'll PM you when I'm coming down again.

Kim, a reefer would be so nice!!! I want to get one when I'm established somewhere
Well my time frame is somewhere between now and next school year so who knows when I'll find one! Not many for sale on here so I may wait for you to upgrade lol!
I thought the 40 cube had the same footprint but was just a lot taller?

I'm thinking of getting one of these in the near future. Haven't picked a size but want it between 20-40 gallons. If you have one message me with your price not looking to buy one for a little so if you know your going to upgrade soon "cough" ""Kim""cough" then shoot me a message. My timeframe is sometime between now and the end of summer haha. Just trying to plan ahead so I get it right the first time:)
Also if you want to just comment with your experience and if you would recommend one that would be greatly appreciated also!
Thanks for looking!

I was going to drill it because I used a gravity fed ato. The bucket sits above my sump.
