    5-20-15 update: No new growth on the palys, still at 2. Looks like im up to 14 zoas.

    We are well over due for a meeting at TPA. Summer time is prefferred so we can fire up the barebeque. If the masses wanting a meeting there this month our doors are open.

    I think overstocking in a small tank may be a big factor here.

    I stock heavy and I feed heavy lol. Im a firm believer that fish poo makes corals grow.

    If the skimmer is working properly I dont see why it would be a problem. It sounds like the water returning back to the sump is up pretty high, I would be worried about the extra splashing making a salt creep mess every where.

    Was there two different kinds of palys? It may kust be differemt lighting, but im seeing alot of red skirts like lunar eclipses. Mine have a green skirt even in full blue light.

    I must be doing something right, ive got 4 baby polyps on the zoas, that puts me up to 11. No new palys yet though.

    Tank Specs: Marinelands 5 foot 120 with 30 gallon sump. Running an old Orca skimmer dont know the model Refugium build into sump full of chaeto Flow provided by mag 9.5 return pump, Jebao rw 15 and wp 25 Lighting is 48" 8 bulb t5 tek light fixture (Lights are on 9 hours a day, currently no ramp up or down) Bulb combo; 5 ati blue plus, 2 ati coral plus, 1 ati purple plus Mixed coral tank of SPS, LPS, Zoas, and two anemones Fish List currently: Hippo tang, Purple tang, Chevron Tang, Swallowtail angel, Royal gramma, Pair of purple tile fish, Pair of purple firefish, Pair of Occellaris Clowns, Midas Blenny, Cleaner wrasse, Pair of leopard wrasses, Sunburst Anthias, 1 Chromis, Mandarin Goby, Ruby red dragonet. Lots of inverts running around. I try to do a 20 gallon water change every week, 2 weeks at the most. Currently only dosing Iodide and Zoe twice a week, and reef builder once a day. Going to be going with a calcium reactor once I get the rest of the stuff I need to hook it up. Tank gets feed once a day with a mix of food I make up. It includes; Hikari Mysis, Hikari Spirulina Brine Shrimp, Mega Marine Algae, Emerald Entree, Seaweed Delight, Reef Plankton, Cyclops, PE Mysis, And Coral Gumbo. I feed the tank with the pumps turned off for 10 minutes so food gets down to the dragonets. I dont do any spot feeding of the corals. I count 2 of the palys, and 7 of the Zoas Top Down of both: ( Really hard to tak ein my tank with the canopy) Zoas: Palys:

    So question, I havnt counted mine yet and dont know if they are all the same, but I imagine theres different amounts of polyps per frag. Does that mean some people have a head start, or handicap? Or is the winner based on the total number of polyps added to their original total. I will throw it out there, if they were all the same to start, two polyps fell off mine and are gone for ever lol

    Im still in for what evers avaible. I will not be sble to attend the meeting, have to work. If someone is gonna be in the salem area and wants to drop mine off at tpa that would be awesome
