  1. So I decided to get rid of the "rock wall" as best I could. I have an eel so I needed to retain a bit of hiding places for him. I pulled about 20 pounds of rock from my display and relocated it in my sump. Luckily I have a pretty large sump, so technically I didn't loose any beneficial rock! I am in no way good at doing this, rarely happy with the outcome but I like this setup the best out of any I've done. I have mainly "chunky" pieces of Rock, which makes its hard to accomplish the "islands" look but here it is!

After. Water is still kind of clouded, corals are a little mad, but everything is placed where I want it. Doing a 30 gallon change here once my little helper going to sleep!

  2. Does anyone else feel like things just sprout out of thin air or water for that matter in our tanks? While starting to move things around in my tank I found some sort of a sea slug, a crab, and a few of the small stars in my tank. Ive had it up for about a year now, never seen any of these critters until today... Craziness haha

Please excuse the grammatical errors sent from my iPad...

  3. Nice eel. I have a golden dwarf moray in my reef actually he has been in two of my reefs. Never had a problem with him except he is a messy eater.

Same here! Egor (my golden dwarf) does awesome in my reef, keeps to himself and doesn't even eat my crab or shrimp. Congrats on the new addition eels are so cool to watch! Well when you get to see them :)

  4. +1 on the battery backup, I have one also, I would let my tank sit for a while (maybe an hour or 2) then run only the necessities with the backup so it can last as long as possible. You would be surprised how long a tank can sit stagnate. My 90 sat with no lights or flow for almost 6 hours when it tripped a breaker and everything was fine.

  5. Hey I was a beavers fan the year that they went 0-10-1 and the tie was a 3-3 thriller with the huskies =) Its easy to have a top level team when you have the unlimited funding of a billionare backing your program. =)

Riiiiight.... Uncle Phil has been around for years upon years, the ducks were not so great until about 5 years ago. Phil's contributions are great but people using that as a scape goat for talent is getting old. We hear it all year yet when we sucked no one brought it up!
