I totally agree with MVPaquatics. I've raised alkalinity from 5 to 10 dkh within a couple of days without affecting the ph. I've been using his formula and my alkalinity as been very consistent ever since.

I received the coral on tuesday. It is completely dead with white skeleton. (sad)

The chalice was Jason fox biohazard. It sucks because it is a nice chalice too. Also, I've learned a hard lesson not to order anything to be delivered on Friday.

I bought a nice chalice from R2R. The seller shipped it overnight via FedEx on Thursday from Miami. I was home Friday and waited patiently for the package to arrive. I finally checked the tracking number and found out that the plane was stuck in Tennessee late on Thursday night. It means that it would not arrive to Portland until Friday night or early Saturday. I called FedEx and complained. The person who answered assured me that they would deliver it on Saturday. Nothing came in on Saturday. The chalice was sure dead by then(flame). I had contacted the seller and requested him to file a claim against FedEx. He is very nice and told me to send the picture of the dead coral. I then told my wife to take a picture immediately once the package was delivered on Monday. Guess what! FedEx again delayed it until Tuesday. I really don't know whether we can get any money back or not? It really sucks.

I have 3 frags of Tyree golden eye chalices for sale. Each has been cut for awhile and has healed nicely. Each frag has at least 4 to 5 eyes.
