So im new to mh bulbs and wanting to know where are some of the best places to buy them from and what brands people would suggest I know that most people prefer Radium 20k so if there is any others that you would suggest that would be helpful also Im wanting to know whith a Radium 20k or similar bulb is it suggested to have supplemental lighting ive read it both ways so wanted to see opinions. Also if someone is going to offer me to buy used bulbs i wish i could right now but already have two bulbs but want to plan ahead and in the next few months when i can afford it have some backups. So im in the process of starting my new 75gal tank and wanting to add some fun and usefull DIY projects to my tank system i have some ideas but want to know what everyones favorite or most beneficial DIY aquarium projects are or were. And pics are great thanks

yeah very happy to hear that your tank is doing good again hopefully whatever happened will never happen again sure is strange but what isnt in this hobby right

so im confused with where the tanks process is right now are things improving or still getting worse

do the nudibranches emit any toxins when they die if so that might be the problem

the crazy thing about it is that i know people are going to buy these and lots of them i just could never justify spending that much on lighting that really isnt better than others at half or more than half the price maybe if the units were bigger and only needed one for a larger tank the price would seem reasonable but its sad to me makes it harder for the poor man lol ill just keep running my halides haha maybe in a few more years there will be cheaper leds or ill be able to save for some one of these days

this is a fascinating thread cause i dont know much but my way of thinking was always with yours pledosophy i know that every system is different and we all have different ways of doing things and that will never change and i agree that many people go with the norm and that can be good and bad at times i have too thought of doing a dsb at one time still might but hoping to see more through this thread about more info on ideas just hoping that everyone will understand that there really is not just one way of keeping a successful reef tank everyone has there own ideas and ways of making it their own tank and thats the point isnt it to have your own part of the ocean in your house well thats the way i see it anyways

so since you are thinking that it was the wrasse that caused the phos problem how could this be adverted is it cause you have a smaller tank or do you not have enough cuc to clean the sand bed just trying to understand why this doesnt happen to more people with wrasses and how this can be adverted since im wanting to add a few wrasses to my tank once its ready ok thanks and really sorry this happened ive never had a tank full or nearly full when problems happen and cant imagine with that much invested thats tough
